Have some karma Mr. Ypsi.

The Homeland Security folks are not monitoring the activities of the NRO at this time.

NEWS FLASH[/color]

This just in..................

Today a container truck loaded with disposable recycling bins full of corn dog flavored ice cream overturned at a ketchup factory. Traffic was stopped for hours but nobody seemed to complain.

I have seen Tyler Culliton play a 4 or 5 times over the last couple of years, and I would be surprised if he didn't spend more time on the pine than the hardwood at either LU or IWU.

The Chicagoland recruiting website www.chicagohoops.com is reporting that Glenbrook North guard Tyler Cullitan has committed to Lawrence. Cullitan was one of the supporting cast around All-Everything forward and Duke recruit Jon Scheyer that led GNHS to the 2005 Illinois Class AA championship and the 2006 Class AA quarterfinals. Two of Scheyer's other GNHS sidekicks will be playing D3 ball besides Cullitan; center Zach Kelly will attend Washington (MO) this fall and will face former GNHS defensive stopper Jon Radtke twice a year in UAA action, as Radtke will wear the royal blue and gray for Case Western.

I read similar in the Northbrook Star some days ago.

That looks like a pretty decent site. Hopefully Beloit will take a look and it and regain the Chicago connection they had at one time. HINT HINT. Scheduling more non-conference opponents from the area would help increase exposure as well. HINT HINT.

While they're at it it certainly wouldn't hurt to send a rep up here for the Gus Macker Tournament each year. Lots of talent from all over in that one. HINT HINT.

Spoke with one of the players the other day and he was telling me about some of the recruits Beloit has coming in. Sounds like they have 3-4 from the Chicago land area this next year. It appears the players are pretty excited about the incoming class. Hopefully they can help this next year.

The Roop

Quite a few basketball related posts in a row there. Let's not ruin the off season here.

The Northbrook Star?! Pat, just how many newspapers do you read every day?  :D

I've lived in Chicago for over a quarter of a century, and I've never even heard of the Northbrook Star. I had to Google it just to make sure that you weren't pulling a fast one on me. I know of plenty of suburban papers: the Daily Herald (Arlington Heights), the Naperville Sun, the Daily Southtown (Tinley Park), the Aurora Beacon News. etc. I've read them all at one time or another, usually for basketball-related reasons. But the Northbrook Star is a new one on me. Did you stumble across it while researching your possible job hunt, Pat?  ;)

No, no -- I only read the papers that mention Division III basketball. :)

Not that desperate to get off the east coast. Ooof.

You were really close too.  Another 8 minutes and it would have been 48 hours.
