To the individual that special ordered the Browning Rage at Gander Mountain and did not come in to pick it up................ Thank you very much. They knocked $100 off the price and put it out on the shelf. Now it belongs to me.

I figured you'd have been at the Whiskey Rapids WIAC baseball tourney.

The Roop

My transportation is limiting my travels at the moment, so I can't leave town until it's fixed or I have something different. Now before somebody lectures me about buying a new bow, I simply couldn't pass it up for $199. $199 won't fix my car anyway.

That's nice Scottie, hopefully they will get a bid to the All-Sports National Tournament.  :D

At this point, I think the bid is a toss up between the Scots and Grotberg.   ;D

The Roop

Next year I heard that the NCAA will be staggering all the seasons so Grotberg can compete in and be an All American in every sport.

Mark this moment in time... The Roop is now in positive Karma.   :D

Hopefully Puget Sound doesn't come calling. ;)

:D Seems possible, since they've definitely seen him coach... he probably wouldn't say yes though... although I'm sure it's a nicer area to live in than Bloomington-Normal.  :)

Sigh ... April, April, April. You're so easily lulled by proximity to salt water, aren't you?  :D You've obviously never been to Tacoma. Ever wondered why they call it "Tacompton" over in the NWC room? Let's just say that Tacoma is not the garden spot of the Great Northwest.  Even I would rather live in Bloomington-Normal than Tacoma. ;)

The "aroma from Tacoma" is how I usually hear it referred...

So, does anyone now think Tharp really pulled out of the IWU search because he discovered that he might lose out to a high school coach?

I think JeffP's got more to be worried about from Puget Sound than any Larry fans do.  coach A is a much more likely fit up there, however, I doubt there's much of a chance he leaves Iowa before retirement.

Here is one reason Arsenault won't be going to Puget Sound:

:P I just feel claustrophobic when I don't have an ocean escape route.  :D :D :D And I have been to Tacoma, as well as Seattle, and Mt Ranier, and Olympic National Park, and Cascades National Park, and Whidbey Island. If I was going to become the next Puget Sound coach, I would probably park my family more in the Port Townsend direction. It's absolutely beautiful around there, and it's in the rain shadow of the Olympics, so it's relatively dry. Yeach, the actual Cities of Tacoma and Seattle aren't all that nice, but you don't actually have to live in the city of Tacoma! There are plenty of nice suburb type areason. And there's Mountains, Temperate Rainforests and the Beach all within an hour or so? How can you beat that??  ??? :P

And if all else fails, you've got Bonney Lake just 10 miles east of Tacoma! ;D

[I've never been there - with my luck I'm about to discover that my namesake is actually an overgrown trailer-park, or worse!]

Mr Ypsi-
Your real name is Bonney Lake?

That's WAY better than Carroll! ;D :D ;D

Here is an interesting read regarding LU standout Chris Braier.  I believe UWO's Tim Dworak had the same opportunity following his senior year.

Wouldnt it be interesting if Chris stayed in appleton for one more year and played football at LU and gained the football experience the scout said he needed.
