In an effort to become more compliant with the NRO, Gobucs has watched Holy Graile about 7 times in the past three days. Life of Brian is next.

The Meaning of Life is far more important in terms of the Python Pantheon (it gives the best insight into the humor of Flying Circus without having to watch all 200+ hours of it).

Yes, NRO compliancy and understanding some of the board humor has drawn me to the Python Paradox.  Being a Netflix member, it took a week for them to find Grail in the archives and dust it off!!  Well worth it though...although i haven't watched it 7 times as "The Roop"  states.  Several times has brought me alot of laughs and new discovery each time:)  Life of Brian is next.. and The Meaning of Life is now on my queue.  I'll have you all know that "The Roop" is perspicacious when it comes to Python trivia.....LOL

Never watched much of Flying Circus because it was always on at some ridiculous hour of the day. As for Meaning of Life.......... it's entertaining but I don't own it. Seems like they "Americanized" the humor a bit to reach a greater audience. It's better than Erik the Viking but doesn't hold a candle to Graile or Life of Brian in my book.

Flying Circus is the essence of Python, honestly all of the movies were sell-outs for money.

Flying Circus is just the craziest mix of sketches that run into each other and go nowhere.  The purchase of the box set was one of my greatest buys.

Selling out for money is ok provided you don't jump the shark in the process. Strange Brew, the Bob & Doug movie, is a good example of that. Granted it was funny but it killed the franchise.

I'm pretty sure Rick Moranis & Dave Thomas lucked out with the MacKenzies in the first place.  It was right for them to get their dough out of it before the bubble burst.  Besides, they mad fans of life of all my friends who were too young to stay up late enough to see SCTV in the first place.  God bless PBS for SCTV and Python; keeping truly ingenious, creative comedy alive for another generation...

I would think the only objection is that it is unnecessarily repetitive.

Speaking of repetitive...isn't money a necessary component of 'selling' out? Can you (have you?) sold out for something other than money? ???

Does that answer the 'Can you' question or the 'Have you' parenthetical?

The only reason they had that high of attendence is because they'd sell separate tickets for each half.  At halftime, they'd clear the gym and then let the other fans in!  ;D :D ;)

Well certainly the first one, but for the second I guess that would depend on the person of which you speak.
