on a b-ball note, I hear that LU is going to play a D1 team for the third straight year.....this time UW Green Bay.

Is anybody aware of any other MWC teams playing D1 exhibitions????  I know that Ripoooon played UWGB last year?

Any other news on the recruiting front around the MWC?

Sounds like that will be the first upset in the exhibition game era. Just remember, it won't count when it happens.

With their new UWGB connection it's surprising that St. Norbert isn't playing them, although who knows they could be. Can't see a D1 scheduling two D3s however, even for exhibitions.

With a payday weekend off and two Saturdays on this check, there could be a Wooden Nickel exhibition. I'm considering a neutral site contest vs. the Honey Weiss All Stars.

Their new GB connection with St. Norbert probably came a little late.  I'm sure their schedule was already in place.  That's what I'm guessing.  Also, I could see a D1 scheduling two D3 teams because that seems more beneficial than in the past where they scheduled the UAA All-Stars and the Amoco/BP/whatever gas-sponsored traveling teams.  :D

I agree, but most usually like to have a D2 on the exhibition schedule as well.

From a good source: 1st semester home game schedule for Grinnell:
Nov 21- Carthage
Nov 28-South Australia (exhibition)
Dec 6-Monmouth College
Dec 9-Simpson College

All are tenative 7:00PM starts. Still no 'official' schedule and no indication of away games as yet.

The Roop

I wish Beloit would hurry up and get theirs out, instead of being last in the conference to do so. My staff needs time to set up all my personal appearances.

Thought you would be happy to know that the MWC will have FOUR shots at Oshkosh this year.

Oshkosh schedule

Lawrence, Carroll, St. Norbert and Grinnell all visit Kolf this coming season.

For the record, Oshkosh did travel to the former three last year just in case anyone asks why they all have to travel to Oshkosh.  ;D

They get Lawrence (Dec. 16), Carroll (18th) and Norb's (20th) within 5 days of each other and then take on Grinnell Jan. 4th.  They really squeeze in Grinnell on a Monday game, after playing a conference game on Saturday and before playing another conference game on Wednesday.

Any chance that Oshkosh can lay an egg vs. LU 4 years in a row?

No worse than Green Bay will. Although that game won't count.
