Sager-
They are rehersing a band that will be added sometime in late July. It will cover Motley Crew songs...and yes, my drummer daughter portrays Tommy Lee! :o

All in all, a fun show. If you plan to attend - any of you - say hi to Hannah for me.

PS-she will not be in the production on the 7th of july due to a Job conflict. Catch it any other Friday and she will be there!

Does this mean that her drum riser will mechanically roll up on rails and allow her to drum upside-down above the audience, the way that Tommy used to do with the Crue?

My favorite insight about Motley Crue via the Klosterman book is that the band didn't put umlauts over the 'o' in "Motley" and the 'u' in "Crue" because, like other metal acts, umlauts struck them as being Germanic and mysterious and macho. Rather, in true butt-rock fashion, they put umlauts in their band's name because they were polishing off a case of Lowenbrau when they came up with the name. Funny stuff!

Nope, no risers or upside down drumming acrobatics, but you may get a glimpse of the band's umlauts. ;D

Jeff, if you daughter is playing Tommy Lee I hope they are giving her a prodigious codpiece to wear.  According to Pam Anderson and Heather Locklear he has an impressive "drum set" so to say.  Is she covering her arms in fake tattoos?

She's method; she's doing it for real.

I know how the tatoo thing will work but i can't give away her trade secrets...other than to say they may get peeled off as part of the act ???

Peeling off tatoos during the act?  Isn't that a little over the top, even for Motley Crue?

Some confusing moves in the NBA draft, but I think Portland may have traded for Grotberg at one point last night.   :o

They actually traded for him twice.  I guess his summer fellowship paid off and Grotberg has indeed perfected human cloning.  He should be leading the NBA in scoring for the next 40 years.

No, no real cloning here, he is just able to be two places at once...like all Grinnell Basketball players. ;D :D ;D

I know a couple of ways it could be done.

Why do I not like where this could be going?

On different note... I wonder if anyone's ever gotten Grotberg to read this stuff... it's seriously classic. If people talked about me this way on an internet chat board just cause I played d3basketball, it would be amusing to no end!
