So, is anyone following the USGA Women's Amateur Tournament this week?

There is this kid named Jenny Arseneault who is one of 8 remaining in match play. Yesterday she knocked off the #1 amateur in the World, and the day before she snuck past the #2 seed from the first day! She tees off in about an hour 1/2. If she wins she will play in the semis tomorrow. Some guy name David Arseneault (Sr.) is her caddy. Check this link:

I did see that and wondered why her caddy looked like a psycho.  now I know more than I wanted to know.  it appears that the lack of prep time grinnell requires gives dave more golf time.

Jenny lost yesterdays match play to Duncan from FLa. 1 up after 19 holes. What a great run!!! I guess she won't be sneaking up on anyone any more after this. Congrats to Jenny Arseneault (and family of course) for a great show this week!

JeffP, thanks for mentioning this.  Gosh, she's a sophmore-to-be at UVA already?  My, how time flies!  I remember a few years ago when she came down and played a round at Gibson woods and, let's just say, she didn't have a very good day.  I'm glad that things are working out for her.

If she ends up marrying Grotberg, it will be LPGA in the summer and NBA in the winter for that family.
