Recently I felt a great disturbance in the force and not long afterwards mom informed me that 1 of 3 has moved back to WI. Why she thought I would like to know is uncertain, but under the circumstances I think a little positive karma is ok. For know I will avoid the Oak Creek area as to not cause a matter anti matter explosion. I would also hope that her desire to pursue a career in academia has not lead her to a job at Carroll College. If so, I would almost certainly run into her.

You failed to mention my chance encounter/brush with greatness. I was THI-i-i-is close  to the KGRN voice of Grinnell basketball. Of course, I didn't merit a mention on the white board like some other people!

I think the boy is definitely interested in Grinnell or a place like it after visiting. He really enjoyed talking with Dr. Willig, but seeing what I think was the GAP group battling it out in front of the forum with foam weaponry may have been the clincher.

The wife and I had a quiet night in together. The good news is she wasn't out screwing around. The bad news is that we watched Love and Basketball. What a horrible movie. Where would she get the idea that that was a good movie? She acted like she'd seen it before. Who did she see it with? Calm down, Ishmael. Calm down.

Anyway, let's talk hoops. What's the deal with USA basketball? True or false: Coach K is a fraud. That's true. I think Coach Worrell should have been the Olympic coach. He won in Jacksonville, people. Have you ever been? Smells terrible down there. Like pig feces and death. He's a genius.

Call me crazy, but I think Grinnell football wins big this weekend.

My grandson wants me to take him to Snakes on a Plane. Any thoughts?

I don't think coach K is a fraud.  He just can't coach the NBA players cause they are selfish .....which is sad, because the NBA is taking steps backwords and the rest of the world is improving.

The biggest problem was no pure shooters on the USA team.  Our playing style is too easy to defend with no real outside threats.
