Are you trying to suggest that Big Foot is really a Cave Man...?  Hmmm....

You have to admit, it is an interesting contention.

I don't think coach K is a fraud.  He just can't coach the NBA players cause they are selfish.....which is sad, because the NBA is taking steps backwords and the rest of the world is improving.

International basketball is not the same thing they play in the NBA, or in d1 basketball.  We're always going to have a tough time winning these tournaments because our guys have to totally change their style for it.

No need to talk about it now as people are posting again. Knightstalker may have been on to something however.

Actually my nickname in an old band I played in called the Lumberjacks was Sasquatch, something about being 6'3" 260 lbs (at the time) long hair and a full beard made them think I was a bigfoot.

I agree that International ball is not the same as the NBA, but disagree that d-1 is that much different.  They still play TEAM ball in college, with defense...look at how Duke was beat.  Some one had to shut down J.J.  In the NBA, they allow 1-on-1 game.
Back in the day (late 80's to 90's) teams scored up in the 100's all the time, because everyone on the team was a threat.  When people double teamed Jordan, he could pass to almost anyone (maybe not his centers) and they were capable of scoring.  Greece beat the US and did not have 1 player of NBA "caliber".

Schools in d1 that play team ball are just doing so because they can't get the top individual recruits.  I'm all for team ball, that's why I'm a d3 fan, but d1 hoops just don't play that way anymore, not at the top tier anyway.

I'm tired of all these people saying Greece didn't have any NBA players.  They had one guy who signed a contract for this upcoming year, but hasn't played yet.  Still an impressive feat.  I just hate when media types alter the truth to make the story sound more interesting.

Early,

The REASON those Bulls teams were so great wasn't Jordan, or Pippen, or Phil Jackson, or their team play... it was the token big slow white guy!  Those centers were key! That put them over the top!!

JeffP: So I woke up this morning, and there was a blueberry scone on the counter with a note from my roommate that she had just made them this morning. Mmm... ;D

April, I'm curious as to why you're such a big fan of the scone.  I've always been a muffin man myself (jokes welcome; I do live at the end of Drury Lane after all, seriously) or even the Danish pastry, but rarely scones.

Ok, I'll play along............. Do I know you ? ? ? ? ? LOL.

My Bigfoot theories have been blogged now, so if you want to read the truth, go there now. FYI, it probably isn't what some may want to hear however.

The rarity of a good scone ups it's value in the free market economy of baked goodnesss... blueberry scones are the best and rarest of scones. I probably eat muffins more than scones too... and sweet breads even more often than muffins... and cookies more than that, and none of them very regularly.... but I digress... it's just a different experience.

Incidentally, this is a bit of an obscure reference, but as an appreciator of the muffin, you may wish to know that I own two muffin top pans to make muffin tops out of. I like them cause you get more of the good part of the muffins, and they end up looking a lot like cookies!  8) :D

Free trade muffins do taste better.

And muffins that look like cookies may be a new successful money-making venture.  They have to be slightly more healthy.
