I called my grandpa and had him look at the website to translate it for me. According to the website  there's something rotten there.

According to this page: http://www.eurobasket.com/den/den.asp Braier's BK Amager won their first game in the Danish league 89-60 over H鴕sholm. Braier was the leading scorer with 21 pts and 9 boards. Apparently Amager are a team of some clout in the Danish League, so it's good to see Chris putting up good numbers.

OK Jeff, there's been two days of practice so far.  I know you've been sneaking peeks down to the practice gym once in a while.  We're ready for your preseason update.

What kind of car is Grotberg driving?  I heard that Scott Boras always gets his top players a nice ride a little before they are in the NBA draft.

Let us all know.

Once the season is over players can accept whatever gifts they like. However, they are no longer eligible to play again. Two days after Kentucky was knocked out of the tournament (1993 I think) sophomore Jamal Mashburn was scene driving around campus in a Ferrari courtesy of a shoe contract.

How Grinnell does it isn't clear as they cover their tracks very well. I suspect they funnel money in from front companies to get the cars for the players. Perhaps a coffee shop or sporting goods store for example.  ;)

Or a coffee shop next to store that sells sporting goods, bikes perhaps.

Here's Braier's complete line in game 2 a an 87-61 win over Sjælland.

8-13 from 2 point range shooting 61 percent
1-3 from beyond the arc
seven rebounds, all defensive
1 assist, 2 steals, 1 turnover
4 fouls...hack
Played an impressive 38:02 of 40 minutes....looks like the stamina is still there..

Through 2 games Braier is:
first in the team in scoring with 40 points, a 20 ppg average
second on the team in boards with 16, Peter Johanson has 19 and is also 6'8
first on the team in minutes with 67:55 out of a possible 80
second on the team with 5 assists, 5 behind the starting point guard who has 10
first on the team with 4 steals

Looks like a Danish League star in the making!

You swear that Nike and Puma are not Grinnell codewords for Ferrarri and Bentley?! ;D ;)

hjmphelp

Yes, I swear. I've even asked his mom and dad, Porsche and R. Royce Grotberg.

Thanks for the update.  Sounds like a great start for bopper.

I would be willing to bet a nickel that Braier will end the year as the rebounding leader for his team..........  the guy is a magnet for them.

I had forgotten about the bike shop and was thinking of another sporting goods store actually. But the bike shop would make perfect logistical sense. LOL.
