the game

CJ Tubbs is not on the Beloit roster. Anybody got the word on that???

The Roop

All that has been mentioned on the board is that he isn't in school this semester but may be back next semester.

Shameless, he is...just shameless.

The Roop

Could be worse Jeff. At least Hannah wasn't in costume at a book store the night a Harry Potter book went on sale.

This isn't one of those get-naked versions of The Crucible, is it, Jeff?  ;)

I went to a wedding once in the church where the play is being held. It's right next to the Diversey el stop. It's an interesting place. Very small -- but, then again, you'd be surprised how many tiny live-theater venues there are in Chicago.

SNC opened their exhibition season with a loss at Division 1 UW Green Bay last night 70-37.  It appears that SNC is VERY young, with only 2 seniors playing significant minutes last night (10+.)  New coach Gary Grzesk appears to have his work cut out for him if he wants to get the program back to where it was for a brief stint in 2001-02.  I don't have a lot of background on the SNC program, but I thought I could at least share the box score.

2008-09 and 2012-13 WIAC Fantasy League Champion

2008-09 WIAC Pick'Em Tri-Champion

Not sure if that result says anything about St. Norbert or not. They lost by a predictable margin which is how most of the exhibitions go. If you want to play D1s fine, just do it in the regular season and you might get a bigger check. The check is the only real benefit to these games that I see for D3s.

Hopefully this doesn't start another week long point-counter point session again. LOL.

Early

The count down for Braier was done by one of us Ripon guys.  I know his real name, but can't remember his "posting" name.

I recall he counted each week-- one more loss for Ripon and one less week for Braier.  Easy math with such a good marker as the many losses of the RedHacks.  ;D

This board was dieing for basketball talk a few weeks back, then in the past few days we have had the coaches poll and d3hoops top 25 come out and not a single post on either....what gives?

Did anyone else notice Toshner wasnt listed as a returning all conference player in the coaches poll? I wonder what the coaches would have rated them had they known that?

And The Roop spake..........................

What gives is the fact that pre-season polls don't really mean anything. Once "Americas Team", Beloit College, cuts down the nets in Salem at the end of the season you will know what these current polls were worth.

Here endeth the lesson.
