LUMAN80

congrats to LU back in the top 10!

The Roop

Hard to top a good xylophone joke, but for post #1000 I'll give it a try. Since I've been accused of unleashing the NCAA on Beloit now I might as well run with it.

Attention Coaches.............. The recruit of your dream awaits you at NRO Street Agent Services. Whether you're turning a program around or trying to keep the dynasty going the NRO has everything you need.
Point GuardsSince the New Roop Order is not associated with any college or university you'll have the plausible denial you need to beat any investigation.
CentersAlready have somebody in mind but the admissions office keeps shooting you down?? That's not a problem for the NRO. Dad was a main frame programmer for a public school district so fixing that report card is easy.
3 point specialistsEverybody else has the best team money can buy, now you can too.

If you'll allow a Karma 3 member to chime in...   :D

Jeff P, How are ya pal?  Enjoy the game tomorrow.  This should be an interesting matchup.  Look for 40+ from Terwelp.
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

The Roop

Given the numbers he put up against Central Missouri, why stop at 40 Scottie ??
Ist Ihre Tochter achtzehn bitte

scottie

I capped him at 40 for two reasons:

1. Either another MC player will also be in the 40-50 range...

and/or

2.  One of those rowdy parental Grinnell fans that I've been reading about, after sensing that the verbal abuse is not working, will go after Terwelp with a tire iron at halftime.   :o
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

The Roop

Well at least Grinnell College does not attempt to revoke their fans First Amendment Rights the way Beloit College does. FYI Grinnell fans don't use tire irons. They're not called the "pitch fork mafia" for no reason.

According to the MWC website, Illinois College @ Ripon rescheduled for January 4th.

I like it, The Roop.  I hear there's also a Java Mafia, but that is more of a civic concern for Grinnell.

What about the cinnamon roll mafia for all those decaffinated street toughs out there?

Ha! I'm bringin' my pitchfork and I ain't a BBall parent either! A lot more effective than pitching cinamon rolls at players and I'm not about to waste good coffee by throwing THAT at anyone.

Based on GC's current "every other" style, this should be a rip roaring good game tonight.

Beasts in '07! ;D :D ;D

I simply can't resist.................... Jeff, what would you know about good coffee. HIYOH.

Better get my Roop Vegas line up for Dolph tonight. Take Carroll -8.5

hey jeffp - i'm not buying your "this team is loaded with talent but very young" line...a quick look at the GC roster and stats shows your four frosh. only avg. about 4 min. a game...and even though your top four scorers are 3 sophs. and a jr., they all logged major minutes last year, so i would hardly call them "young" after a full season in the mwc...i would think that having 5 of your top 7 scorers back would be a cause for optimism, not "a year away"...

am i missing something?

i'm hoping for a competitive game tonite, too...as the scots showed last weekend, they can look anemic one night and tough as nails the next day...let's hope both teams are on (and the scots pull out a 5 point win).

I'll go halvsies with you fs13, I saw GC in person last year and immediately after the game said "they are going to be incredible in two years."  However, they need to show some more improvment this year than they have so far.  They played the second half of last season with essentially the same roster they have now to much better results.  I don't like to get on teams for their pre-Christmas performance as we all know how much can change after that lay-off, but they are underacheiving a bit.

Dolph Stanley

I'll take Beloit with the points but go with Carroll at -150 to win.

2-0 at the window betting Roop Vegas, maybe I can make enough to get that kids parents their car.

Great week to be a Midwest Central High School graduate.

'04 Grads- 6'3 guard Andy Battey with 10 pts in a 94-91 win over Millikin for RMCS, 6'5 guard Blaise Rogers with 13 pts in an 83-81 win over nationally ranked Carroll College for Monmouth, 6'7 center Jesse Haskett was also in uniform for this game but did not log any minutes.

'05 Grad- 6'4 guard Ryan Burks with 21 pts and the game winner against nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh for Elmhurst.

Good luck the rest of the season fellas.
