We're getting hammered by an ice storm down here.  Is this going to hit you guys?  More importantly, is it going to affect MWC travel this weekend?

Supposed to be plenty of rain/sleet/snow/ice/freezing rain/etc. around west-central Illinois (i.e., the Monmouth and Galesburg areas).  Could be interesting to see how travel goes for teams driving after tonight's games.

Well if Ripon fans are bragging about this one then my research is complete. Roop Vegas says take Beloit -2.5 @Lawrence on Tuesday. This shall be the official line............

I took Beloit and the points and got spanked for 5 large at the Mirage.  You owe me.

That's why it's called gambling. Besides I had to throw out a bogus line because I just hit 3 in a row. I could, if I felt like it, pick them all right but then it would lead to a point shaving controversy.

Tonight take Monmouth +12.5 and Grinnell -13.5 tomorrow. Hard to set a line on a System game but since there's no such thing as a Monmouth hangover bet small on this one.

The stream for the Beloit-Monmouth game isn't bad. I wish I could say the same for the announcers. They mean well so I will give them an A for effort. However, were I their professor I believe they would be required to re-take this course.

Lawrence loses big in OT. I'd post in more detail but as a Lawrence fan i'm too sad after this loss to go into detail about the game or how I felt about the game. After we win a few more I might be in better spirits. As it stands I don't know how to live my life. I wish I were dead.

GC 142, LU 130   

Incredible game. Incredible effort by both teams. GC led the entire first half, allowing LU to tie up a few times but always pulling ahead. LU came back, picked up a lead and kept it. GC couldn't hit at the FT line and it hurt them. LU did a good job of bottling up the 3 pt shooters, yet somehow Grotberg hit 48 pts game total. Grotberg hits a 3 to knock them into overtime, then GC came in to establish a lead that LU could never overcome. A couple of players lost to foulouts didn't help them, either.

Wonderful game, wonderful playing by both teams. My ears are still ringing.
