Roop, go bucs, Dolph, I need whatever Karma you guys have in the tank...so I little help if you please...

Never in the history of LU have they lost to Carroll in a game that I have attended. Not much of a data base either but it is a fact. I can't guarantee my presense but I am thinking about going. Appleton is a lot easier to get to from New Roop City than Ripon is and there's no Wooden Nickel in Ripon.

In the mean time I suggest you also become a Knox fan.  They can help you more than anybody else.

no one wants to be a knox fan...at least not admit to it.
If it were up to me there would be a 4 point line....

As far as Beloit basketball goes almost nothing would make me happier than a season ending win over Ripon (Roop and I share the same feeling here which sort of scares me) so any Karma that may have developed from my late season switch to "kind and gentle" is yours.

In many ways I see this as a big game for the Beloit program.  People would be hard pressed to claim that this team did not "mail it in" during their three game road trip and the game against Norberts was as brutal as any the Bucs have played in years.  With a full week to prepare and a game against a team that at one time was your primary rival bringing the end to a season, anything less than a "balls out" effort would speak volumes.  Even the Bucs best effort may not be enough but a repeat of the performance in De Pere would be brutal.

As a sidenote, I have not seen a post from D3Fan since the  weekend last month where the Bucs rolled up half of their wins for the season.  Would be very interested in his thoughts.

Its basicially exactly what is above, except for some minor seeding things

Interesting. Ripon has already clinched a spot so they are only playing for seeding purposes this Saturday. Do they take a dive and try to keep Lake Forest out or go for the win and knock LU out. Since they will play Grinnell or Carroll in the semis regardless of what happens I'm thinking the starters get lots of rest this weekend so they are ready and healthy for the tournament.

The Don King Fix Pick of the Week is Beloit by 11.

Does anyone find it amusing that they included a tie breaking scenario for the #2 and #3 seeds? The best thing about it is that it comes down to a coin flip!  :D :D :D

Heads you play this team as the home team, tails you play this same team as the road team.

BRILLIANT!

I don't know...I still think Ripon would relish the opportunity to contribute to Larry's exit if at all possible.

I wasn't quite sure about how dumb that actually is!  But, YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!  Ripon would get much joy knocking LU out.  Playing Grinnell or Carroll can be a big difference.

Dolph,

not much to say. The double overtime loss seemed to be the last best game the bucs played. Its very evident by the way games have gone that the, as ive said all season, the bucs have no depth. I was at the last hoem game vs LU and for the most part it was an entertaining game. Of course there was that typical stretch as has happened in most of the games where the bucs just couldn't/didn't keep up witht he other team. They only rotated 7 players vs LU while LU played 10. The loss of Tubbs and Hrton ebing hurt a good part of the year and Puls not palying hardly at all has been a huge problem for them.

If a change is made its made...I personally still think coach Youngblood is a good coach in a tough situation. So there you have it. It has been a very very disapointing season. Not much else to say. except that I still support coach Youngblood and would not like to see him go.

Best of luck to GC in their battle with IC tomorrow. Let's see the conference come to New Darby!!

And of course best of luck to whichever other team you want to win to have the appropriate 'tie breaker' outcome, as per OS and others  :D

It's nice to know I got them all right!

Yeah!  Me too.  It seem labyrinthine when you read them, but when you slow down it makes sense.  I'm in ODAC country these days, and they have this crazy points system based on beating good teams and losing to bad ones that is super complicated, since your point values are constantly changing as the standings shift.  They play good basketball, though.

If anyone gets a chance to get to Salem, VA (ODAC and DIII championships) you should go.  It's a cool venue, and the quality of hoops is really good.  The Strong kid from Guilford should be getting POY looks nationally in my opinion.  He may be; I haven't checked.

Good luck to GC, and good luck to the Bucs.  They could use a win (I'm not a Ripon hater.  Well, anymore), and I really like coach Youngblood.  Still the only coach in the conference that could give Coach A a good fight.  I would buy tickets to that rumble.
