Cecil and Coach A get along quite well so you may have to wait a while for the fight to get signed.

Hate hate hate. C'mon. Once a Ripon hater always a Ripon hater. Hate hate hate. LOL.

Here's to hoping I get my tax refund before the plane tickets go up as I'd like to make it to Salem this year. Flying regional airport to regional airport can get expensive if you don't book well in advance though.

Grinnell Hoops

Congratulations to Grinnell on a fantastic run.  Here's hoping they take care of business tomorrow--I've already bought my plane ticket!

Also, just a thought about Lake Forest--their late season crashes are well documented.  Even in 2000, when they were a fantastic team, they lost steam at the end of the year, Grinnell claimed the conference championship, and LFU lost to IC in the first round of the tourny.  If Grinnell faces Lake Forest next Saturday, I can almost guarantee another 30 point win.

question: what happens schedule-wise if the GC / IC game is called off due to weather? We have a storm blowing in....  Would there be enough time to reschedule prior to the tourney? How do these things work?

Jeffdc-
Come on you wuss butt! We only get 3" total and a little wind! Have you been letting the big bad TV weatherman scare you? ;D :D ;D

LU_nut

OK, the Monmouth faithful could not help out LU this past Wednesday.  Could the Knox and Beloit faithful please give us LU fans a hand????

We would appreciate it up here in Appletonia.

Ps;  should be a good game between Carroll and LU saturday...both teams seem to be playing their best ball of the year.

Interesting. Ripon has already clinched a spot so they are only playing for seeding purposes this Saturday. Do they take a dive and try to keep Lake Forest out or go for the win and knock LU out. Since they will play Grinnell or Carroll in the semis regardless of what happens I'm thinking the starters get lots of rest this weekend so they are ready and healthy for the tournament.

The Don King Fix Pick of the Week is Beloit by 11.

With the conference tourny a week away, I don't think Ripon will be taking any dives.  The players will get enough rest.  Also, Saturday is alumni weekend so Coach G will want Ripon to play a good game for his old players to watch

Sorry there Grinnell Hoops, but in 2000 LF won the conference title, and Ripon won the MWC tournament.  Larry beat Lake Forest in the 1-4 game.

Wuss butt??  Them's fightin' words!!! >:(

I think you should provide free Roopacinos to all GC players scoring 20 or higher in tomorrows game (assists at 5+, steals at 5+ alternatively)

Jeff, cut Jeff some slack. LOL. If Carroll loses the Grinnell - IC game would be meaningless. So if it was a really bad storm they may just cancel it entirely. If Carroll wins then they will have to play whenever IC can get there. Just like they did for the storm that postponed games earlier this year.

If all goes well I should hit Saints Rest about 1:00PM next Friday. Since all didn't go well last year look for me around 3:00PM.

Roop, I mis-hit my emoticon (say that 5 times fast) - should've been  ;D

But seriously, GC owes IC a little payback - as Jeffp pointed out to me, they're the team that knocked GC out of the last tourney playoff.

Well that's not what I heard. I just found a note tied to a window and thrown into my rock garden that says the official order is "dive dive dive".

Better watch the free Roopacinnos for players Jeff. Somebody from Beloit might see that and take it seriously.

i believe he was talking about the 2000-2001 season.  he is clearly not thinking correctly gaurantee another 30 point win...LF went 11-5, losing some steam towards the end of the season and went to Grinnell and lost to IC.  but those days are over.  lets take care of business this weekend and try to prove him wrong.  You better not lose.

If it were up to me there would be a 4 point line....

OK, the Fight Between The Jeffs is on!

Roopacinnos at 20 paces!

Or better yet, from our respective seats in New Darby!

Go Pioneers! (the real ones. You know, the ones from Iowa?). Lets take care of business tomorrow and end the meandering about who needs to do what to seed/host where! ;D

jeffdc

sounds like Jeff2 ...er.. jeff squared. Except any guy with a pony tail can't by definition be square, so just leaves one of us  ;)

The Roop

C'mon Jeffs. Do you really think that the two of you could stop criticizing the officiating long enough to actually fight at New Darby ?? How about if I sit between you saying nothing and just watch the game like I always do. That will bring the unruly fan ratio down a bit, LOL, and give Grinnell a better shot at NCAA hosting rights. Hey, you never know. Lots of highly ranked teams in this area. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the MWC Champ hosted a Tuesday/Wednesday game to face one of the bye teams in the next round.
