Why is it that every time I use the word "hottie" April makes it sound like I'm hanging around the Jr. High looking for a girl friend. What should the PC term be then "Aesthetically gifted" ?? I was just telling a story as requested by one of my many readers. In this case Mrs. Jeffdc. She couldn't be there but her husband did as he was told and let me know that I am to post more often. It's not as though I asked the t-shirt sales representative out on a date or anything, it never even crossed my mind.

Am I "biologically" old enough to have a son in college, yes. Is it realistic, no. Sophomore or Junior in high school is closer to the truth. Not sure if I should mention this or not, but I will. A few months back
I had to laugh at my dad because he bought some of the Axe spray. He's in his late 70's April, what say you ?? I don't mind getting dis'd from time to time so the "hotties" comment doesn't bother me. I just don't appreciate the running start she took though. LMAO.
:-* It's okay, guys have to work to catch up to me all the time. :D

You have to take my comments in the context that I've recently been hit on by a 61 yr old man. ::)

So are you coming to Salem or what???

Stevens Point beat Carroll 93-75 to begin the season.

Stevens Point beat Augustana at Quandt 71-68 over the holidays.

You'll have to ask the CCIW faithful, and there are plenty of them, about Augustana.  But, I'll give Carroll 12 points and they will probably lose.

I just made them 15-20 point under dogs on the CCIW board based on the Stevens Point game. LOL.

Jeffp:

It's okay.  It seems the overanalyses of your comments is subsiding at a rather rapid pace.  Note that this is only 3 days after your comments.

You may recall that these same pundits are still on me because I didn't get treated humanely at Quandt in 2005 and spoke if it.

I say call it like you see it.  I would have added that Arsenault looked like a 7th grade guidance counselor who lost his sport coat at the 7-11 burrito bar, while Conger looks like he just stepped out of GQ.

OK, I'll take over............. I drove hundreds of miles to see a "System" game but I didn't get to see anything resembling one. Ripon-Carroll was closer to a system game than was Grinnell-Lake Forest. Please refund my admission price. The system doesn't work if you trade 2s for 2s. Take a 3 for crying out loud. I think Grinnell had only two 3s in the 1st half.

Designated scorers and nobody else is allowed to shoot. What is that all about. Lake Forest played a four corners offense all game and never pushed anything until it was obvious that Grinnell had wore themselves out chasing. Play a zone if you're going to be conventional.

Anyway. I'm wearing my Beloit sweatshirt at the time and the hottie selling the t-shirts asks if I have a son at Beloit College. OUCH...(insert scratched record sound)... I don't even have kids let alone one that's college age. I guess The Roop isn't Pool A material any more.

The sooner you admit that you were biologically capable of producing someone who is old enough to be in college, and stop referring to kids that could be your kids as hotties (gross) confine your evaluations of hotties to the barstool and/or personal messages on Posting Up in order to protect yourself from being scorned in an open forum as a dirty old man, the better. Sorry, that's just the way it is. :P :-*

There, April, I fixed it for you. As GrinnellFan68 says, a man's opinion is sacred and he has a right to express it. :D

I'm not sure you exactly get it, April.  From the time a guy reaches puberty, his one aim is to date an 18 year old.  For most guys, that aim just never changes.  Peter O'Toole got robbed of an Oscar last night for playing a role that illustrates that perfectly.

Such terms as "nubile", "callipygian", and "pulchritudinous" nicely convey your opinion and have the benefit of going over the heads of those most likely to be offended by your evaluations of the female form. Teach these terms to your acolytes in the New Roop Order, and use them wisely.

time will tell how carroll does, but Point Special Roop:  I would not put much weight on the first game of the year.......that was simply not the same carroll team I watched later in the year.  Evidence is the fact that LU took Point to the wire the same week .........and then got beat soundly twice by carroll late in the year.

:D Touche. ;)

Alright all you Hugh Hefners, as the boards only female, I'm going to have to let this one go. But I reserve the right to be grossed out. :P

the game

C. Youngblood OUT at BC is the word around campus. Can anybody confirm this??

RiponRed34

I can't confirm that officially, but when Ripon played Beloit on Alumni weekend, I was told that that was going to be Cecil's last game....

When was the last time a player averaged a double double in the MWC and didn't win POY...on a team that made the conference tourney?  Just curious....I know Jeffp do my own research.

Don't forget about Go Bucs, who recently exposed herself.  I mean...well, you know what I mean.  And, let's remember "that girl," the offspring of HefP.  I think she's been too busy hearing "Places Everyone!" to visit us this season.

Hard to say, but to be fair, averaging a double double is somewhat easier for a big man than for a guard. There just aren't as many assists in a game as there are rebounds. Averaging double digits in assists is practically unheard of; while it's rare for boards, you can find more players getting dd rbs.

Hmm, maybe the last time it happened was when RC's own Tommy Becker won POY.

Yup, Bopper had 15.2 pts and 11.5 rbs that year.

:D :D I'm guessing that's an answer you didn't want to see!

systemfan86

Just a touch more on that one

04-05
Becker 20.6 pt/g, 4.6 a/g
Braier  15.2 pt/g, 11.5 r/g

06-07
Drury         19.5 pt/g, 5.04 a/g
Schmitting 17.7 pt/g, 10.0 r/g

They look pretty similar. If history holds an example, Drury is the man.
