I'm surprised but not shocked. I just wish a different MWC team would have gotten the Augustana Monkey off our tournament backs. St. Paul isn't too far from New Roop City. So I have to see the "other" Pioneers this weekend.

Still burns me that none of them even bothered with a "Hi" when I was staying in their hotel in Grinnell though.

Congrats to Carroll on a job well done. As an AugieFan and a Beloit College grad, I wish you well against St. Thomas on Saturday. As LU showed in recent years, and as Carroll showed tonight, the MWC had better be given a little more respect in future years.

Augie will bounce back next year. Now if the new Beloit coach can just get the Bus back to the glory days all will be well. I'd love to get John Tharp, but Lance R. is probably a good choice.

Should be interesting Saturday night, St. Thomas tries to get revenge over the MWC after losing to Lawrence in the second round last year. 

Yay for tournament games being 10 minutes from my apartment, I'll be there Saturday night so I'll be able to give first hand recap Sat night..

So here's the question:

Do I root for Carroll and the MWC to pull the major upset, or do I root against my hated rival, though not Ripon level and root for a team I've watched since I was like 7 since my best friend's dad works at UST.


Its a tough call for me...I need some help.

IMHO, sounds like deep inside, you want to root for St. Thomas. That's probably what I'd do if I were in your shoes.

Frankly, I don;t care about this generation's St Thomas as much as the ones 15 years ago..but its Carroll, probably my second least favorite team in the MWC..I mean come on everyone remembers William Wallace and his Scottish army...damn they were annoying...

Keep giving ideas....I may just puss out and declaire myself an impartial spectator....those i did miss chanting Carroll is a girl's name this year.....

If you want to root for a winner, then root for Carroll. The MIAC had an accidental Final Four team in recent years and the conference has ridden on their laurels ever since. Roop Vegas says it will be an upset if Carroll wins by less than 11.5
