More competition for Dowden if he indeed ends up at St Norberts.

WOW. An All Walworth County player...........

No offense to Dolph for posting the link but just how many high schools are there in Walworth County ?? I'm thinking that being All-WC doesn't mean a whole lot.

In any event, Dowden is taller and has more experience at the college level so St. Norberts new recruit is not likely to replace him.

Lance Randall has a new job. The Beloit Alum has just landed an Asst. job at D1 Loyola of Chicago. Makes you wonder how interested he actually was in the Beloit job. I doubt he'll be an asst. for long.

Jake was one of the top recruits by the ex-BC coaching staff.  big Bobby Wimmer is from the same school. its a pretty good conference that elkhorn plays in. it was my understanding that larsen was seriously considering BC before the coahing staff was replaced. they were planning on him playing 2 yrs behind Dowden then taking over the point position. i would guess that with the experience and frankly how good Dowden is i dont' think Larsen would be able to supplant him as the starter at SNC.

I also niticed in that article that the div 2 south allstar team has a kid on it from Evansville. Mills is his name. I know that he had commited to coming to BC until the coaching change. He was Rock Valley Conf palyer of the yr. 6'6". another quality player going someone where else.

guess it gooes to show the quaility of the recruits that WERE going to go to BC. Oh well.

The Roop

I knew that Mills had applied and was very interested in Beloit but never knew if he actually committed or not. Tuition concerns etc. Although I am a little surprised he's not coming now as I know academics were important to him.

Greek Tragedy

Since the MWC isn't really "my league", I've decided to jump the Ripon ship and make the Green Knights my team of choice for this upcoming season.  Sorry Redhawks.  Grzesk used to coach at Lakeland College (my alma mater), the hockey coach, Tim Coughlin played at Stevens Point (I remember the days when Point beat St. Norb's 21-1) and I know someone who played soccer up there! lol.  So, the bottom line is that I really have no real reason!

Anyway, I'm confident of St. Norb's making the conference tourney this year!

Grzesk for PRESIDENT!

I've just heard that Mills is walking on at UW-Oshkosh but plans on trying out for the team. That will be an interesting situation to watch as it doesn't sound like they recruited him at all.

LOL, here we go again.  Ten years, one top four finish, awful record the past couple of seasons, injuries, admissions, every other excuse in the book   but this was it, the year that things were going to turn around if only.................

How easy is it to say that a kid would have been there if the previous coach had been kept.  There is simply no way I know of to disprove it so I'll allow you your fantasies that the program was headed to the final four with you and the rest of the staff.

With all due respect, last year you were very excited on this board about a kid from the same school who made only HM all conference and did not get a sniff at the state all star game commiting to Beloit.
