GC 112, IC 88

Great System ball today. GC dominated for most of the game. Stand out performances by Long (an amazing 3 pt on a cross court carry in the last 3 seconds of the 1st half), Grotberg, Idrissa (who seemed to be enjoying the 3 pt corner shots). Nice work as well by Mahaffey, who seems to be settling into the system, Knisley (with some solid saves and rebounds), and Macdonald. It bodes well for GC to have 3 'big men' with the talent these guys have shown, and it's frustrating not to see Chamberlain out there with them. Davey Jr. was out again, but watching the team it was hard to tell - Grotberg and Kaitz did some solid ball handling. Roewe managed a few extremely solid 3s. IC kept it competitive until the last 10 minutes, when the steam seemed to leak out of their effort. Their team seems young and talented, but not quite gelled.

GC also showed more discipline in pacing than I've seen in the last few games. Maybe it's just the result of the 1st years' gaining experience, as all squads have several 1st years.

A final tip of the hat to Thomas Davis, who doesn't get a lot of court time, but showed tonight that he has tremendous potential - the guy is fast and just slides under his defenders. Love it when he rebounds his own shots!

Great work guys. A pleasure to watch.

Any idea why David Arsenault didn't play today?  Is he hurt?
