Any idea why David Arsenault didn't play today?  Is he hurt?

sprained ankle. Thought he'd be in today, but....
Threes are better than twos....

Did Beloit not make the trip back from Monmouth ?? Losing at Ripon is understandable but 91-69. Cmon guys, you gotta at least show up.

Lawrence lost at home and there aren't many (if any) Carroll fans...so, there probably isn't any chance of actually getting a game report on this fantastic game.   And to think, I chose to see Whitewater blowout Eau Claire instead of attending this game.

Hi Tom,

I plan to write a little report of the game.  Yeah, the loss was tough but it was probably the best game I've ever seen in person.

Last night I was licking my wounds, and today I just don't have time to write.   Tomorrow, though - I promise.

A final tip of the hat to Thomas Davis, .... Love it when he rebounds his own shots!

Leave it to a Grinnell fan to love it when a player from "his" team misses a shot... ;D  :P :D

The Roop

Well at least he got the rebound. Would you prefer the other team had gotten it ??

A couple pages back, Maverick and I were asked about the situation concerning Blaise Rogers leaving the Monmouth team. I don't have all the specifics, and I'm sure there are two sides to the story.

The St. Norbert/Beloit weekend was the issue. I don't know if that's because it represented the "final straw" or if the events of that weekend only were the reason.

After the Friday night loss to St. Norbert, Rogers did not play in the first half vs. Beloit. Clearly, he's one of the top players, so to not play for 20 minutes meant something was up. In the second half, I commented twice to my son that Rogers just didn't seem into it -- not sprinting back in transition, for example.

Then, a few days later, we heard he quit. Again, I don't know all the specifics, but I believe it was his decision entirely.

I'm a firm believer that Coach Vershaw will get things going back in the right direction. It's clear, though, that the program is in a transition stage. When he has a recruiting class or two of his own on board, I think the Scots will be in good shape.

Before Old School or someone else gives us LU backers trouble for disappearing after a loss, i  thought I better post.    Unfortunately, due to a conflict, I did not catch the game.  It sounds like it was a classic that would rival the LU/Point game at Puget Sound several years ago.   Carroll does certainly seem to get better as the year goes on.

I think this years conference tourney could be the best in a few years.  If Grinnell gets healthy they will be interesting.  Carroll obviously just made a statement.   Hopefully, LU will be playing at home(note last game of regular season is at Carroll) and will be in a position to win things.   I think Norbs or Lake Forest will not be pushovers if they make it as well.   If it is at Alex, someone please tell the fire-Marshall to take the day off so we can go back to the good olds days of two years ago with 1500 people jammed in the place.
