We have no TV (on a good day we can get a channel out of Columbus Ga,) and we only get the weekly LaFayette Sun News paper (Lafafette Alabama...here in Cambers county)

This is my first weekend off in a while and Huntingdon is in Danville, Va

i think i might drive down to Lochapoka to see my middle girl, 2 grandbabies, and watch the Dade county thugs vs the pan handle Criminoles with one of the sons-in-law........
or stay here, work on the motorcycle and try to get the Huntingdon game on the web
so many choices.........so little time   :D

i pray all have a great weekend

i don't mean this disrespectfully, but the gc "broadcast" of the game is laughable - there is one dude talking in the background, barely audible and they literally sound like they are just watching a game and talking...i'm sure it's a couple of students, but really, why bother if you can't get someone who cares to call the action on the field

and who doesn't know how to pronounce monarchs? moe-narchs, really?

livestats froze at 7:45 in the 2nd with mu up 20-14, and after more than 15 minutes watching (including one score by mu), i have no idea what the score is

narch

in fairness to the gc "broadcast" team, they've gotten better in the second half...still mispronouncing monarchs and still one dude off mic, but better :)

Hawks88

Didn't get to see much of this one. We had our company picnic today so I was mostly keeping up with play by play on my phone. 717 yds of total offense for the Hawks. Very nice except for the early trips inside the 5 that got no points. Good job by the defense, 168 yds of offense for Averett with 90 of those on the late TD drive.
Looking forward to the big one with Methodist next week.

Go Hawks!

that was one wild, defensive struggle in the 'boro today...just glad my monarchs came out on top

i never thought i would say this, but i am going to be the pride's biggest fan next weekend...the only real shot mu has at their first out-right conference championship is to win out (the hawks offense scares the heck out of me) and hope that m'ville loses their last two

go monarchs...and...this is tough...go pride

Hawks
in the first half ...with the gaol line stands that Averett made (which were pretty good) the game was...well ..interesting, but from the safety to the end of the 1/2, and the 2nd half... i mostly worked on the Trike (as u know, she needs work)
hope yall had a great day

CNU 13 LaGrange 10.  Interesting score on Senior Night at LaGrange.

I will look forward to the progress at LaGrange over the next 13 months, especially with more reps by the QB's and the receiver corps.

This score is a bit of a shocker. High powered offense scoring 10 points? Where ya at Mumme?

How I wrote it in the wrapup:

After the unexpected departure of coach Todd Mooney and LaGrange's defensive coordinator, the Panthers' defense played better but Matt Mumme's offense didn't show up as Christopher Newport edged LaGrange 13-10.

Dud of the week goes to LaGrange's offense. (Coaches, not players)

Really could've made a statement here. CNU's offense isn't really geared to score quick or all that often, but rather ball control. CNU D stepped up to the plate and made their own statement. Still shaking my head and trying to figure out what happened here.  ???

The Hawks can find their 'D' again before Saturday.

The Averett game was just in time to get the Hawks D back in form and get their confidence back up.

Still can't believe yall let them put 20 up on the board... ::)
