just found a couple of mu highlight videos from 2013...what a fun season

offensive td's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPT_T1UUhp8&list=UUvwXDcBHW68FTk3gAKG1dpQ&feature=c4-overview

vaughn cross highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T6O_Ubi1Ng&list=UUvwXDcBHW68FTk3gAKG1dpQ&feature=c4-overview

i'm sure nobody else will enjoy them as much as i did, but if you like watching good football, it's worth 15 minutes of your time to watch all 3

Scots13

I enjoy them. What do you have? 8 months until the start of the '14 season? I'll take any football I can get. Plus, it's always fun to see how other teams perform throughout the season. I think I'll have to wait another month to put MC's highlights on here (still a ways to go until the banquet).

Is MU getting rings? If so, it'd be nice to have a picture of the design. Again, it'll be a while until I can get a design for MC's rings.

Hope all is well, and MU is gearing up for another good year. I'll try to make the game this season in Fayetteville.  We should get together for a pregame beer or coke, whichever is your preference/allowed on campus. It's bound to be another close game in a good series.

(ps. Don't go to a game at E&H with a beer unless you want to hide it. Johnny Campus-Law got on me last season  ;).)

yesterday was a pretty good day for mu - the largest capital campaign in mu history was announced and over $23 million of the $35 million goal has already been raised

the monarchs are getting a new facility that can be found at http://www.campaignformu.org/athletic-facilities/#football - this should help the monarchs with recruiting and retention!

Scots13

That is pretty big news; good job MU for raising that much already.

Just begs the question:
What's the visiting side going to look like?  ;D

I'm just waiting to hit a $400 million jackpot with a $225 million take home, or whatever they call it. You'll know if it happens when MC has a renovated Cooper Athletic Center, new football stadium, and football field house complete kick@$$ weight room, offices, film rooms...all in the matter of months.
I'd name it something patriotic and cool like
EAST TENNESSEE VETERANS' MEMORIAL STADIUMand at the entrance I'd have a bronze statue of majestic and powerful bald eagle with olive branches in its talons. Maybe a little Soviet teddy bear in its beak. It's still a work in progress. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That is awesome stuff Narch! Anytime a university has a campaign like that it benefits everyone, mostly the students. CNU just publicly announced yesterday its first ever Comprehensive Campaign. $42 million goal. $32 million raised so far. And yesterday during the event someone gave another $1 million.

A few years ago UVA had a similar campaign. Except in $$$$. Their goal was $3billion and they got it. I was talking to someone in the advancement office at the time, and the pressure was on to get $1million per DAY! Crazy

Anyway, great news for MU. I know you're proud Narch. And rightly so.

Stay tuned within next 10 days for more news.

I'm very excited also. This is going to be awesome!  Time for one of us to buy beer for the other! I'm looking forward to a Wesley game at CNU.

wesleydad

that would be another game since they were there a couple of years ago.  will be fun and always enjoy the trip to that area.

I was stunned at how impressive the CNU campus looked when Wesley last visited.  What a marked contrast with Wesley's tiny pitch.

it's only $12 million away...we could name it the cnu85 stadium for half that :)

It wasn't like that when I was there. But fortunate enough to send my daughter to CNU. Since the current President took over in 1996/7, there have been approx $1.3 billion in capital improvements. More have been approved and are underway. It's fun to watch. Thanks for the kind words. Even more amazing than the facilities is the atmosphere. It is truly energized by some exceptional young people.

I looked into it. They wanted my $6 million, but the deal broke off when I insisted the name had to have CNU in it.

shhh...I'm trying to forget that game. It was UGLY!!!!! Then the following week I decided to go to Salisbury on my birthday. What could be better than a CNU on my birthday? We were crushed 58-10.
