abnrgr - it was a nice win, but i'm not without concern - the monarch defense gave up way too many yards and both of the interceptions thrown by reber were bad balls - the running game was really good today, and the rb's scored 7 td's, but gc actually out-gained mu - they can't play like that and expect to win going forward - still lots to clean up before going to lagrange - that lc passing game scares the heck out of me, especially with the way the mu db's played this weekend

I went into today liking our chances but never dreamed we would beat CNU by that much. We were able to jump out to the early lead and were able to keep them from ever really getting back into it. I can't say enough about the job that Luke Bailey has done since taking over the QB job up to having his best game so far today. He keeps making good decisions and executing the offense at a high level. I'm not sure whether Morrast was 100% coming in(thought he might have been limping in pre-game) but he took a few big hits in the 2nd quarter and only played one series in the 2nd half. Hope he is okay and able to keep playing.
On to Ferrum next week. Have to keep playing well and take them one at a time.

not depressed, just realistic - that defense HAS to get better for the monarchs to reach their goals, and jones county is lovely...as long as you're just passing through

A solid road win for the Hawks today. I didn't get to watch but was able to keep up with Ferrum's live stats. Seems like it took a while for the offense to get going but had a really strong 3rd quarter to pull away. Next up Lagrange at home. I'm not sure what their issues are this year but I'm sure they will come into Montgomery fired up and ready to give us trouble. Hopefully we can get off to a fast start and take care of them and move on. Have to keep taking them one a at a time.
