Best record does not mean anything. That does not make sense. I could understand going to a tie breaker if two finish with the same record but I would think over record would win . Seem backwards to me.

I think most people would think it was backwards to award your conference title by using non-conference games.

Or who was the "last to go" instead of sending who has the better chance to win. That could be the ODAC this year....again

MC has a good win over a NC Wesleyan team that is on the up swing again, 42-28. Lots of rushing, but lots of slips and falls for the Maryville backs. Trenton Shuler had to be close to 200 yards and MC as a team over 350. I'll check that. NCWC picked up a fumble on an attempted spike at the end of the half and ran it back 68 yards for a score. Had another ball slip out of Pitt's hand deep in MC territory and NCWC scored the next play. Very well could have been 42-14, but also very well could have been a much different score if MC hadn't had a pick 6 in the 3rd and some of the dropped balls from Midgett were caught.

With that being said...

narch...my man.
WHAT HAPPENED?!?!? MU is screwing up our master plan for the showdown in Fayetteville in a few weeks. I was going to get t-shirts made and everything  :'(

If CNU beats LC tonight Maryville and CNU have a match up next week for sole possession of 1st.
If LC beats CNU tonight, Maryville stands alone in 1st, but then if MC is beaten by CNU next week, back to a 3 way tie (MC, HC, CNU) if Huntingdon beats Averett.

Hopefully all that's correct.

Either way, CNU needs to beat LaGrange to keep Maryville's destiny in its own hands.
Crazy stuff the last 2 weeks!

Maryville controls their own destiny no matter what happens tonight. If Maryville wins out then they are solo conference champs.

HC needs LC to win tonight, CNU to beat MC next week, and MC to beat MU in the final game..and of course HC to win out. That would be a three way tie between HC, MC, and CNU. HC would own the tie-breaker with wins over the other two.

After watching the game today and seeing the results of the MU/Averett game, I'm left here scratching my head..

MU beat the dog-you-know-what out of LaGrange.
LC lost big to Maryville, but beat Huntingdon.
Huntingdon beat Maryville by 14 and the game was never close.
AU got crushed by MC if you take out the special teams scores (even though MC still won by 23).

MU put 73 points on the board against LaGrange. Takes NCWC to overtime and has to have the kicker dominate the scoring. Then they lost the Averett today. NCWC isn't bad, but they aren't a top tier (yet) within the conference.

Bottom line: I don't know what to think of the conference race and I don't know what exactly Methodist has. They scare me. And I'm sure they scare Narch too. They can be day and night between games.

LC hanging in there. 17-13 CNU at the half.

Fumble on the 1 yard line going in for LC isn't helping.

LC takes the lead on the first possession of the 2nd half, 20-17.

CNU answers, 24-20.

Quick. Post again. You're sitting at a bad number of posts.

Shocked by today's MU result...didn't expect that at all...didn't watch the game at all because the boy is at a lacrosse tourney (in the Danville area, ironically) but MU just didnt play their best and didn't get any of the breaks (every 50/50 chance went to au, from what I heard)...the monarchs need lots of help
