Sailor I never said that you pointed fingers at anyone. Its obvious that insideslant/D is some how connected to the Dline and he has no right to try and call out the other side of the ball now. And your right yeah I am not with THIS team day in and day out but there is no reason why YOUR team should be average.

Insideslant/D

:o Well ! cnufinest, like I guess , I went back and reread some of your past posts, Oct. 23,24,25 and like I thought you easly get offended, you fight with Narch and Mosh as if you were still competing on the field.  What's  the problem you still getting lack of playing time or what.  ;) In one of your past posts you even said that it's time for the young CNU players to step it up.  I agree.  As for me, on you saying I'm pointing out players, maybe I should say again, ("It maybe good that CNU is not going to the playoffs this year, so now every aspect of the program will revitalize it's self"), from top to bottom.  Oh yea may I replay to another one of your remarks about players from the 757, it's going to take eastern regional, group AAA, players to get CNU deep into the playoffs. Listen I'm a coach, I call a spade a spade, if the o line in not producing then that's how I see it.  The team will be built around the young D line, J. Wood is the 2nd best LB to come out of CNU, the cornors are tight for another year. And I also feel bad for the seniors, but you know as well as I do that the future is in the hands of the Freshmen and that the O line has got to come alone if they are gonna stand a fighting chance year.  The o line is a problem that needs to be address, first on the 06 agenda.

Insideslant/D

To CNU finest, we may not agree on somethings and maybe you were an offensive player.  But if we are gonna fight the emeny from Meth. we need to be on the same page or at least compromise.  I hope you didn't get offended, but if you did I can understand.  It takes time to let go and redirect that anger in another direction.  Lets upset Ferrum this week and get started on a new year.  :)

Narch i found humor in your post as well as the drive for five, it stings but i still smiled.  sorry finest were all just frustrated and i know you are too.  finest was a defensive player and an alright one at that.  completely average to tell you the truth!! haha lol.  this girl on my hall just won volleyball team mvp and congratualtions to her and #92 my roommates latest significant other is a beast freshmen on the soccer team and they are the one seed in the south region.  your right narch there still are plenty of goods things going on at cnu, but i still wish the season wasnt a learning experiencing.  oh well bc all the captains can do is get BFS for next year.
oh and finest, if you miss football that much you should come out to 6am workouts bc Dean would love to have you and you can bring back some humor... the guys this year are so boring.
Can I have ten thousand marbles please.....

Get it together CNU and beat Ferrum, please!!!

LOL...you guys are killing me.....just 2 CNU posters with a different opinion on how to make things better next year, and everyone makes it out as though the CNU team is in a gang war - the D is in red (The bBoods) and the O is in blue (The Crips).

With the schedule CNU plays, and the conference teams getting much better, and the fact that the O and D lines graduated all but 1 last year......I expected a year that we got...I hoped for better.....If the posts go that far back, remember I posted that CNU would be 2-2 or 1-3 at the start and would be trashed by Rowan.

I'm glad everyone is so optimistic. I'm not, but don't have many hard facts as to why, mostly gut feel and a few facts.

Gut feel - CNU loses big to Rowan. After 4 games is 2-2. But finishes at 8-2 and a top 10-15 ranking. My reason? - O and D lines. Especially the O line - it takes awhile for these guys to mesh as a unit. With 4 new starters (rumor has it 5 new starters today) it will take a few games to get it going and Rowan is not the team you want to start off against.

Facts - a few starters will not start today. And this one hurts - Gary Freeman was called up Friday to active duty to head to New Orleans.  FRIDAY - he was called up FRIDAY!!!!!

here is your post re: the season, '85...not QUITE what you remembered...that 5-5/6-4 you thought you "expected" was actually 8-2 and a top 10-15 final ranking...you did call for a rowan thrashing, though, and you did point out the difficulties the lines would have  ;D

JUST BEAT FERRUM!

by the way, here is another of your predictions...i actually thought you could be right in the pre-season (see my post below)...what happened to mr. jones?

POTY - George Jones - CNU

Just because we are hosting the sectional, doesnt mean our womens soccer team is the 1 seed.

You're good Narch,

Cut me some slack - it's election day and I was just spinning the story in honor of the day!!

Actually, I do remember the top 15 thing...at least now I do - it's an age thing....I had forgotten about it.

Can I make a prediction for next year (partial)....Rowan, MHB, and Salisbury is not a good way to start if you don't have your O and D line situation figured out....and...if you don't find a way to replace 3 outstanding LBs that will have graduated!!

cnu85

Not sure what happened to Mr. Jones. I saw your earlier post wondering what was up. I'm clueless and don't have any inside scoop. I like the kid. He spoke a little about what it was like to be a 3.0+ student athlete at a church dinner when he was a Fr. Nice kid, quiet, polite.

Slant D. For one I do not get easily offended.
2. Believe me getting playing time at CNU was the least of my problems, I finished my career as a highly decorated defender.
3. Considering where I came from saying it will take AAA players to get CNU deep in the playoffs would have overlooked some of the best players to have played at CNU so far.
4.Your a coach? Then call a spade what it is, CNU lost 2 games when the o line was soley to blame as some see it. But yet in both losses they helped their team score 30 and 28 points respectively, in my eyes there are more problems than just the oline.
