am i the only one who sees the irony of a hsc fan complaining about   pointing out a favorable pairing?

No complaints, if fact I said HSC got the pairing they deserved and I wished CNU good luck. If thats a complaint than I guess I'm complaining.

Better, and again, good luck to CNU.

No, you're not the only one, narch....I had forgotten/overlooked the fact that H-SC got a gift last year, until I went back and reread your post about the #7 seed hosting the #8 seed.

usa south all-conference selections are out...nothing earth-shattering or surprising - alston offensive player of the year, brownell dpoty, kelchner coty

i thought jacobs would be a first-teamer if they named 3 wr's (they did), but he wasn't...the numbers say he should have been - in conference games he was 2nd in catches, 3rd in yards, 8th in ypc and 2nd in tds...overall he was 3rd in catches, 3rd in yards, 6th in ypc and 3rd in td's - that looks like one of the top 3 wr's in the conference to me

congrats to all...all very deserving in my book!

I wonder what the developments are in the Alston case? Do schools have to be transparent in things of that nature or it is what it is? I doubt they (USA South officials) would have made him the OPOTY if they heard about it. Morrast or Rudy Rudolph would've been my votes.

I've touched a nerve. I admitted last year that HSC caught a break. This year I'm glad CNU, with a 7-3 record, got a break by not going to MU.

Before people start tuning out for the off season. I just want to say thanks for all the fun times on this board over the years. It is because of this board and the ODAC board that I met some really awesome individuals. I've been to tailgates and campuses around the region. I've been to the Stagg Bowl, Bridgewater, Mary Hardin-Baylor NCW, Averett, HSC, Shenandoah and Maryville. I've bantered with the best - Narch, Scots13, Battered Bard, and many others. Soon it will be time to head over to the NJAC board in the East region where I get to continue the fun with Wesleydad...whom I've had the pleasure of meeting and tailgating with as well. I will be making trips once again to Dover and Salisbury and probably add a few more up north. I will keep lurking around.

CNU went to 10 NCAA playoffs in the 14 years of football in this conference. I will be watching to see who steps up now and becomes dominant. Good luck to all. It has been great. I will check in once in a while!

cheers!!

I was under the impression Vann walked on at ECU as a punter. I guess that's not the case.

I hope the MC/MU game keeps being the last game of the year and if so, we need a trophy for the game. Any thoughts?
i think that was the intention, but apparently he did not make the team at ecu or decided not to play...

i think the trophy could be a holographic barn burning...8 of the last 10 games decided by 1 score, with one of those games that wasn't (last year) being very much in question under 4 minutes and one of those games (2009) going 4 ot's...those classify as barn burners, to me
If Methodist hadn't changed its name to University, you could award the MC Hammer as a trophy ... I envision a Thor-esque hammer nailing the game on the last play with a thunderbolt ... either that or a shadow box with a framed CD with an endless remix of "Can't Touch This ..." and the IRS logo.  It could happen.  :)
+1.... For obvious reasons.
Thanks.  The pen keyboard is mightier than the sword bored.

What a game. I'm down in NC and was listening to radio feed. When it got to 26-7, I took iPad into hotel room and dozed while listening. Damn Captains kept me awake with all that scoring!!!!

I figured it wasn't in cards when the extra point was missed and score remained tied. Student just doesnt miss many.

Then he booted a 38 yarder as time expired to win the game.

Second half was amazing. Everyone played well...defense held DVC to just over 100 yards in 2nd half while CNU put over 300 yards.

Now I don't know if I should take a nap or go drink a beer.

HSCTiger74

Congratulations and well done CNU. Keep it going next weekend against the Pride.
