final regular season predictions - i went back through and looked at all the previous predictions, and i think i went 30-11 on the season and haven't missed a monarch game (for some reason i didn't make any predictions the week mc played ferrum, but i would have predicted a mc win that week)

huntingdon 31 - m'ville 17 - m'ville ends a long first season in the usasac by playing independent huntingdon, which has played EXTREMELY well this season, despite being such a young program

au 48 - chowan 21 - d2 braves take another one on the chin from a usasac team

ncwc 27 - gc 21 - pride don't have an answer for j. williams and ncwc offense, but torey lowe finds the end zone for a couple of scores

cnu 31 - fc 28 (ot) - this is not a sentimental pick...i think cnu has had the ego bruised and will come out firing trying to avoid a 5-5 season, which would be the worst in cnu football history - the captains match up well with the panthers with a big, athletic d-line and rangy lb's capable of defending the option game...let's see if the capt's have a little pride or if they roll over for the blackhats

mc 41 - su 31 - i say it every week because the margin for error with the monarchs is small, but su scares me - the names haven't changed much from last season, and the hornets crushed the monarchs last year - i do think the monarchs are significantly better than they were last season, but they will need to play their "a" game to win this week against a team that will run, run and run some more against a small defensive line - i'd like to see the rocket get to 2000 yards passing and 500 yards rushing (both attainable goals) and i'd like to see hill surpass the 1000 yard mark (he's 81 yards shy right now) - this game is a MUST-WIN...football recruits will be on campus, it's senior day, mc has never beaten su and, oh yeah, there could be a conference co-championship and POSSIBLY (i know it's a real long-shot) a ncaa playoff birth at stake...gotta get it done monarchs

It is difficult. We tried to go 231-for-231 but it's hard to be perfect. :)
pat...i understand...i simply wanted to point out the difficulty that even the most knowledgeable d3 football minds have in ranking teams before they've taken a snap...oh, and i wanted to say "told ya", but i'm a much bigger person than that :)

Yep. We had you at 93. Massey has you now at 63. We're in the neighborhood at least.

I reverse myself even though I know "the Drill Instructor will beat me harder for reversing myself".  ;)

I must have been in another..... uh....  stupor last nght. It is GC-Q that is very much different in tuition for out of state not MC. I stand corrected. An honest mistake. ::)

"Now tell me PVT Joker you do love the Virgin Mary"

I hope to provide the Monarchs some relief from CO

Narch, spoke to Byrd and we are both planning on heading that way in the morning.  I get off duty at 8am so as long as nothing major happens over night we should both be there.  I'll give you a call in the morning and give you a more definite.  What's the weather supposed to be in Fayettenam...Hopefully it'll be warmer than it has been on the Cape Fear the past few nights!

Roberson goes out with a big day.

Roll Pride!

Looking forward to seeing Qtip do just that.

Roll Pride!

Go Panthers!

cnusfinest54

Come on Captains have some Pride play the way you can and beat the Panthers. Do what no other team in CNU history has and win the last game of your season. I won't predict a score but I will predict a crashed party for the Panthers.  And Rocket what size ring do you wear, if you do your part, I have faith that the Captains will create yet another Co- Championship.

CNU up 17-0 nearing the end of the first quarter. Rob Rod blocked another punt and forced a fumble.

CNU 24 - Ferrum 0. 1 minute left in the 1st qtr. CNU is on fire. However I will not relax until CNU is up 40-0. Ferrum can score some points.

Wow, I can't believe Ferrum can come back from
that deficit, we will see I guess.

Start of 2nd quarter 20-7 Averett over Chowan.

tcheadhunter

Rob rodriguez blocks a Ferrum FG and CNU still leads 24-0. Rodriguez has blocked a punt and FG today for a total of 7 blocked kicks on the season. This kid deserves some national recognition.

Rob Rod blocked his second kick of the game.
