personally, i don't think the captains should leave the usasac but, if they did, joining a re-structured cac would make the most sense in my mind - the cac could invite frostburg, wesley, apprentice and cnu to join, then convince cua to join for all sports (instead of all except football, as they are now) and convince gallaudet to make a committment to KEEPING football and you'd have 7 football playing members OR maybe the cac could leave apprentice out of the mix and convince a school like mary wash and/or marymount/goucher/york to add football

Although I cannot speak for the current athletic administration and it's been nearly a decade since I was empowered to speak for the previous athletic administration, I don't think Catholic would have any interest in being in a league such as the one you outline there.

English is my second language; I apologize.

Goodluck Ferrum....

I dont need this ridicule anymore...
CNU,  Hope your ship burns down and takes some of its horrendous alumni with it.

5 sacks is pretty unbeatable even with Rockets legs. That's gotta be a record at MC? Those are GOOD HOGS ;)

I think the record is 3 from last yr, but they threw the ball alot more this yr!

drunken sailor

mosh, im not talking trash to you but... if you dont need this ridicule why do you make such broad statements like go cnu... go to hell.  and i hope your ship burns down with the terrible alumni in it.   ok, you havent threatened anybody with fistcuffs( haha fisticuffs) but you too show immaturity with always having the last word with childish remarks.  if you want the bs to stop, turn your other cheek.
in my opinion i think you like the attention the coach finest gives you. tata

the illiterate prick (another moshism)
Can I have ten thousand marbles please.....

Insideslant/D

yea D. Salior, he played for the Steelers, 80's.  He was in on special team play that game.

moshergc9

Dude, nothing flew over my head period. Trash talk is trash talk and I can accept that from people and teams that have the right to do so. But in Mosh's case his play as well as the play of his team gives him no right to say anything about CNU in MY book. When you open your mouth about another team you leave yourself open for the comebacks and obviously your little friend couldn't handle them.

Best comparison I can think of is finest is like the yankees fans...not the team, the team is good. the fans are idiots.    Anyways, I think it goes this way for the majority of your fans.  I have seen some class on here but overall, the majority are very similar to the yankee fans that throw batteries at players.  Anyways, your right this is childish.

From this day on, and previous days before this I will always cheer for any team "ANY TEAM" that plays cnu.
Sounds about right

Narch - you gotta point out the English Dept at GC...come on...have you really looked at some of Mosh's posts? Their, there, nope..got it...they're really bad!

26? I thought the yankees had 27? Or maybe I was thinking about next year?

'85 - nobody from gc comes on this board talking about what a superior academic institution g'boro is and how the admissions standards are SO HIGH at gc (as cnu fans have in the past), so i don't have high expectations for mosh or any of his gc counterparts who have posted over the years - i KNOW that you cringe when you see some of the posts from current and former players on this board, and the hoops board

and, unfortunately, it's still 26

to keep your reponse out of the quotes, you've got to type what you want AFTER the [ /quote ] code

That's a good thing the yankees did not win #27. ;D

Narch not beating a dead horse or anything but when you quoted one of my previous post about beating Mosh up. I found it funny that you highlighted only the parts that backed the point you were trying to make against me. Maybe you should have highlighted the smiley face and all of the HA HA's because I was being extremely sarcastic. I mean seriously how can you imprint the words Dixie/USA South champs on someones head during a fight. For an extreme intellectual like yourself, I thought that would be more than enough, to show the sarcasm . But in your case I guess once again you didn't comprehend yet another one of my post. In your eyes I'm an extremely immature, grammatically impaired, ex football player from CNU that you just love to hate and Mosh is the mature golden boy english major from a private college.

Mosh just for the record I started four years at CNU and the only time I saw limited action was during injury or bad health. I had extensive stints in the hospital twice during my playing days because of an illness and still finished out every year at a pretty high level when my doctors begged me not to play. Not to mention the fact that I was voted on the all conference team every year. Narch you talk about immaturity as if you really know me outside of a freaking message board room. To be quite frank if you ever met me in person I am very positive that you would have nothing but the up most respect for me as a person and as a football player. Your step son Mosh always talks about how much of a warrior he was during his playing days. Not to toot my on horn but a good amount of players would have sat out two years from football if they had endured some of the things I faced during my playing days.

cnusfinest54

No one said that CNU was the next Stanford or Harvard Narch. In the private vs. public debate since CNU is a public school it has far more limitations in a lot of things it does. We can't give academic scholarships to below average students like private schools can. Believe me I was recruited by a pretty dominate D3 school in the south coming out of high school and getting money for me to come play their was NOT A PROBLEM. Lets just say that I was going to get a pretty nice Academic scholarship package to off set the cost of a public school like CNU.

If you are such a great individual then stop acting like such a ----.  Put whatever you want there, their, thier, they're...So you played DE...Ian something right?  Maybe my memory fails me in old, old age...Congrats on your all conf and your four years.  So im appeasing like the allies at Yalta.  I extend no apology, I think you were a real d--k but I know I can be as well.

Boys and Girls, maybe we call all learn a lesson here.  Or maybe we cant.  Either way who cares.

I can see Pat putting a stop to this real fast if you guys don't chill out.  If it wasn't playoff time he might have already.  Kudos to you for trying to defuse it somewhat, mosh.

finest - here's the deal - i have a lot of respect for what you did on the field for four years at cnu - you've got the rings and the ncaa experience to back it up BUT, i quoted your post EXACTLY WORD FOR WORD - i simply hit the "quote" button in your original post and did not alter your words ONE BIT - the words typed in red were added to clarify YOUR mis-quote of mosh - and while that post may have been sarcastic, i don't think there is any reason to threaten physical violence, sarcastically or not

here's the thing...all summer long i remember reading your posts about the su "ladies" and other trash talk from cnu players and former players - it got to the point that i stopped reading it because it was simply not fun to read the complete nonsense that you and your former teammates were writing, but most of it was aimed at su and the other schools that couldn't hang with cnu - then, cnu loses a conference game to a team that has never beaten them, mosh comes on the board and talks a bit of trash while congratulating mc and you get so upset that you "sarcastically" threaten to fight him - if you're going to throw stones, don't build your house out of glass

for what it's worth, this is the post that started this whole firestorm...found it on page 34

NARCH!!!
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Its nice to see that a private school can knock the state school back to its Knees a little. Private Public, Public has the edge and even though I really only root for GC I root for everyone except cnu.
Congrats

Men...men calm down. I read more than I post herebecause I love to hear you guys. You're so passionate like I am about keeping Micheal Jackson away from my kids (except Brian)

but we all have to get together and get really drunk, talk about BC, (cheerleaders), how LLama and Skoal got caught in that porta pottie with that small terrier and the empty case of PBR, and that chick dressed up like guy with a ....oh..let that go..... and make a fool ourselves and then hug. NOt the guy HUG. I am little partial to MOSH with that Richard Gere walk he's got.

Serious now we have all played and run into each other. But we be older than dirt now......Relax and build for tommorrow.  I still love everyone excpet MC55 who probably told the cheerleader I was talking to I was really 50 instead of 24. Man I had her going....cost my son an extra ALL SOUTH. Just joking :)
