narch

leave it to abnrgr to bring a little levity to the situation :)

here is REALLY important stuff

3 monarchs named academic all-district - it sure would be nice to see an academic all-american or 3 from this bunch - all 3 are impressive on and off the field

abnrgr

3 ALL Adademics!! That will hook the parents faster and make their kids go there. Now don't tell me they were all HOGS

Like I said earlier in the year Pat Coleman our conference foes hate us.  But anyways congrats Methodist on the win.

For you Mosh you always talk about how much of a hard nosed player you were and about how much pride and honor you had for your team. Bottom line is I think your a little Bi$$$. You haven't said anything about CNU since God knows when and now that we loose a game you want to come on here and speak our name out of your mouth. Why don't you get off of Methodist n$$$ and let me say something about your scrub of a team. Bottom line is you couldn't even start for the bottom feeder Pride in your hay day. You were 0-4 against the Captains, with all of them being blowouts. Lets take a trip down memory lane when Gboro was I think undefeated in the first few games and you and your PATHETIC defense was ranked 2nd in the nation in total D because your team was playing scrubs. Lets see I think the Captains ran your little ladies out of your sorry high school stadium. Its funny how you talk trash about CNU now but I knew you when you were playing and I never heard you pop stuff on the field. I'm sorry I guess you wouldn't, it would have been even more PATHETIC

Trash talk is trash talk and yeah me and a few SU fans have went back and forth more than a few times. Uncle Jessie also poked fun at the CNU loss as well but you didn't see me blow up on him. The reason is he has had something to say negative or positive about CNU all summer and I can respect that. As much as I hate it SU still owns a 3-2 edge against CNU and I can respect that. No matter how much I call them the SU ladies or complain about how we blew the game, at the end of the day they still beat us on the field and I can never change that. Even the great Narch states what if factors on the board from time to time Ex. if Hill plays in the Ferrum game then MC would have won etc. etc. A lot of people congradulated MC on the win as they should have including myself. A simple congrats would have been enough coming from Mosh but he took it to another level trying to throw shots. Looking back, I will admit that I was a little harsh in my reply. No other team in this conference is obligated to root for any other team in this conference and I understand that. But when CNU made it to the playoffs year in and year out Mosh posted that either we would loose, hoped that we would loose, or that he wished a private team and not the public school Captains could make it to the playoffs. After our playoff wins or any other wins there was always silence from his mouth. But as soon as CNU losses a game after months of saying nothing about the Captains he wants to use our name in his mouth.  Like I said before if he has nothing good to say about the Captains then don't say nothing at all.

And Narch EVERYONE knows I hate SU with a passion but besides poking fun after the Captains win over SU. Have you seen me poke fun at the Hornets who have went from a share of the title to dead last and only 1 win. No and believe me I would have had a lot to talk about but why kick a man when he is down. Uncle Jessie an SU fan gave his congrats to the Monarchs and a little joke for old time sake at the Captains by calling us the WHO and we left it at that. I remember talking Cash S--- about SU after the CNU win and he didn't really seem to mind and he left it as is.

Narch-
Your first team defensive backs better include Rob Rodriguez. 50 total tackles, 2.5 for a loss and 1 for a sack. Three picks, seven pass breakups and SIX blocked kicks. Not bad for a guy who's listed as 5-8.

Now you taking words from my mouth. I definately congratulated cnu for making the playoffs.

cnu85

I agree with Finest...SU would have been an easy target to bash this year. The wheels fell off that wagon for some unexplained reason to me. But I don't recall anyone bashing their 1-9 record. As far as Mosh being immature, maybe....but we would have re-defined "immature" had CNU gone 1-9. Mosh would have been all over it! I like the fact that he started the dart throwing, then backs down...doesn't need the ridicule. Face it Mosh, you threw a dart, had every right to, but got toasted by a squadron of F-22 Raptors in return - take it like an abnrgr - ooh rah!! (that was just for you abnrgr!!).

Now on to hoops - another possible long season for CNWho!

Yeah you fighter pilots really showed me.

Yeah you fighter pilots really showed me.

Reading these past few pages of posts I can't decide if this is really funny or just plain sad.  I suspect the latter.

Rock the Casbah, rock the casbah!!

miz - it's clearly sad, and i'm ashamed of my part  :-[

i'm taking nominations for all conference defensive players

these are the players i am considering based on what i saw this season:
dl - northern, mc
lb - woods, cnu; morse, cnu; pope, mc; lawrence, mc
db - rodriguez, cnu, gauntlett, mc; shuford, mc

truthfully, i wasn't impressed by many defensive players that i saw this season, and i didn't see ferrum, au, m'ville or gc play...i need some help, folks - post your suggestions

cnusfinest54

I don't know much about the other kids in the conference so picking an all conference team would be to hard. And yeah defense in the USA South was obviously down a bit this year with all of the points teams scored on each other week in and week out.

Narch maybe you should make the ? easier. Maybe the ? should be who is the defensive player of the year.

I am bias partly because I felt that J. Wood had a monster of a year last year and should have gotten the defensive POTY. But if not him I would say that with all that Rodriquez has done, either by making plays on defense, making tackles on special teams, blocking kicks (like he plays at VA Tech), and returning kicks for TD's the conf. should give him some type of player of the year award.

Bill McCabe

I understand Mary Hardin Baylor will be playing CNU next season.  Any word on this or thoughts?
