Yep, another early season gauntlet for the Hawks next year. I hear Linfield is coming to Montgomery for the opener. Love it!

BSCpanthers

Linfield won today. You guys are getting some big teams out of conference.  Makes those exciting, and if you win, you get a nice jump in the rankings.

I'm sure we have you guys and Lagrange on our OOC schedule as usual.

When McMurry came in 2007, the players really enjoyed the museums and the historical places in Montgomery. I am sure that Linfield will take the opportunity to see the history there.

One other thing Hawks88, I work in a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC, or "Medicaid Clinic") here in Tyler. Even though the patients in the clinic, (who are 1/3rd white, 1/3rd black, 1/3rd Hispanic) might be asked to "check a box" for ethnicity or race, there are essentially no lines or distinctions between the "races". A good 30% of the babies in the clinic are at least "25% mixed-race", that is, one grandparent is of a different race.

I am sure that you are seeing that in Alabama, too.

Welcome aboard Belhaven. Much shorter trip for us than Averett who they will be replacing. And adds another team to the west division for all other sports.

I guess Belhaven didn't like getting beat by HSU and UMHB. Oh well.

No, we aren't moving to D2!

They were really good this year and I hate they are leaving.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

MUW has already committed to the SLIAC.

Thanks. I forgot.

But 430 miles southeast of St Louis makes MUW in Columbus MS the Sul Ross State of mid-America.

From the 35,000 foot perspective, I am glad that Belhaven has joined the USA South, especially for football. Now that LaCollege has gone back to NAIA, they were way out there.  I think they can be successful in that conference, may be even more successful.

They should push Huntingdon in football.

Well after 6 years of softball and 3 years of football I am leaving the ASC and now joining the USA South for one final year of football as a parent/fan (my son plays football at Belhaven).  Looking forward to visiting the new schools but since I live in Texas the travel will be a rough.  Currently looking for a good credit card with frequent flyer points if you have any suggestions.  Hopefully the football schedules will come out quickly so I can start making plans.

My only regret is in all my years of ASC parenting I never went to Sul Ross.  It was either a scheduling conflict with another kid or a injury that kept me from going.  Would have been nice to see the area.

The best month to visit Big Bend is March.   ;)
