abnrgr: I would never make it there, I have stayed near the beach way to long!

Congrats to Chris Roncketti and Billy Delapp on making the East Coast Bowl!

Also a few other players from the Conf, and a Guilford guy in there. Good work guys.

I hate to bring this up again but I was in the head today at the Station and I picked up the US News and World Report (not one of my normal readings but it happened to be laying in the floor  ;D) and the first page I flipped to had a listing for most and least amount of debt aquired by students of the nation's Universities and College's.  Having aquired my fair share of debt while at MC it caught my interest.  CNU had the second lowest aquired debt by students for any liberal arts college at 8 grand and some change.  No real point to posting this...I just found it interesting.

On another note...are they still playing the East Coast Bowl in Petersburg VA.  If they are I hope the weather is better than it was in the mud bogg we played in.

do yourself a favor and plop down the cash for sunday ticket...it's worth EVERY penny - my brother does HIGH END sound systems and put ours in...maybe i could get you the family discount (twice the price) :)

papi - careful, careful...that's a slippery slope you're walking on :)

mc55ol - beat me too it, but here is the link - glad to see those guys will play one more game

abnrgr - we're banking on your boy out in CO to start the next 4 years :) - i'm sure the coaches are working all of the academy's as we speak...an air force transfer qb might be a nice fit...swing by while you're in the area and see if there are any who are unhappy with pt - of course, judging by vogelbach's success, maybe we should go to ecu...they do have a pine forest grad who will probably NEVER play a down at qb for them who was ahead of vogelbach on the depth chart...hmmm

Papi ain't walking anywhere. his butt is hanging on the rail of that cutter in a "Noreaster suuuun" (said with a East Carteret accent) " "One eyed mullet suuunn".

All the QBs except one are big gangly pocket guys that do not fit MC style of play. Or they do not have it between the ears to run that O.

THe AF academy is wasting the one they got now.

yes papi, they are playing the game in petersburg virginia still.

Mc55, hey man some things are starting to shap-up with the whole playing still. You know i never knew how hard it was goin to be to just quit and drop the sport i have played all my life, so i am going to try out for the team in asheville. I am lookin forward to it......... Question, im sure it is a little harder only having three more downlineman, but how is the speed of the game. HAHA, just thought about this but i sound like a new recruit, lol. starting over again! But n-e-ways whenever you get a shot, just holler at me on here or something. Latre buddy!

Narch, so from an outside point of view, how do the monarchs fair next year with a very, very young team? This sounds weird to ask, usually im readin gwhat people say about us, now imasking the questions! thanks buddy

gotta have a qb step up, either from inside the program or outside the program - that qb will have plenty of weapons at wr/rb and a very good ol (despite loosing you and delapp...i think alexander can be a very good tackle, and coach f will get a center/guard to step up) - the defense could be better - certainly losing jean-claude, pope and  hyslop at lb and roberts at de will hurt, but there are some pretty solid lb's in the program and i'm sure finding some dl's will be a priority - no offense to d-linemen, but you can step in and play as a frosh on the dl if you're big and athletic...that's not the case on the ol, in my opinion - finding those big, athletic dl's is the tough part, but i like what i saw this year out of northern, hayden and merritt, especially in passing situations (which tends to be the trend on offense right now) - there is a TON of talent returning on the back-end of the defense and if some of those dl's can get a little bigger and stronger, this could be the makings of a very solid defense - overall, i think the monarchs will be picked 4th in the pre-season poll, behind fc, au and cnu but they could surprise and win the thing outright if the pieces fall into place

D O.C.

Ferrum...LINFIELD has open dates the next couple of years.

Mcol51: The speed is unreal, in the AIFL you have to play both ways though. If you make one mistake your in trouble! Dont get me wrong it is fun, but you have to bring your A game every snap.

MCol51

narch, good points in there man, i just hope they have a lot of the people coming back and do not decide to transfer somewhere else. this is always a problem here at methodist,  but i think they will stick together and stay hopefully. I actually think the QB position will have competition next year between burch, buseick, and schultz. All three of these have something different to bring to the game so it could be a shootout between the qbs next year. Burch got hurt this year or he would have been the backup i do believe. he is smart, and has an arm to fit the ball where it needs to be, only thing is he is young. Schultz has a tremenous arm and makes some pretty good decisions back there, and also he is calm. He came into the salisbury game and was calm and collected and didnt at nervous so this willbe a plus. he just needs some good mental work and he will be fine. Buseick is the option man, good speed and excellen decision maker. so all these will help and make it hard for coach E.

Mc55, thanks man i appreciate it. You know i think, i will give it a shot i am goin up there for thnaksgiving and i might go by and find some things out on friday. they will be there setting up the field inside the civic center.

Papi
Spent alot of time down there. When we had open dates (back in the 70's) we would go to the Mullet Bucket because we would play them next back to back for the conference championship ther next 2 games. West (snobs) being last.

Our old principle Hoyt Hayes lived down thar and let me tellr suuun...he was a wild man.  :)

i wish i could be as confident as you are...i haven't seen any of them throw a pass...i understand that situations didn't dictate getting them into games and throwing the ball (close games or blowouts where you just want to bleed clock), but it would have been nice - schultz looked good throwing on the sidelines and in warm ups all season, and he handed off to matthews VERY WELL in the su game :)  ;)  :D  ;D

How is MC's tight end Huddleston's knee healing? Will he be ready for next season?  Did he have surgery to repair the damage?

abnrgr

Narch
MC's offense needs a thrower from I've seen but they also need that guy (ala Ronketti) that breaks contain which creates lanes. Wheels my man wheels...............Am I off here?

I guess you know Papi is from a place where they beat you up if you're not from around there ;)

abnrgr - the offense is a shotgun spread...there is a LITTLE option mixed in, but not much - wheels are def. preferred - nobody wants a statue back there...if the qb doesn't have some wheels, the ol may give up 12-15 sacks instead of 5 and defending a guy that can break contain makes a defense less aggressive - smarts are critical, too - making the right reads and decisions in this offense is the difference between a big play and a negative play, even in the run game - this offense is LIGHT YEARS from that psuedo wing t the monarchs ran last year - is this enough info for you to go out and find us a difference maker from the mountains of CO?

the great thing for the mc qb next year is that sands, mularski, robinson, howard and doleman all return at wr...they're the best group of 5 wr's in the conference...3 starters (5 who played quite a bit) return on the ol...and of course mike hill at rb - the qb next year for the monarchs shouldn't have to win games (as rocket did), but rather get the ball to playmakers in position to make plays and avoid turnovers...easier said than done if you've never played a snap of significant time in college BUT if the mc qb can do that, i think the ol, wr's and rb's will win games until the qb can become a playmaker, as well
