Narch: I talked to Rocket, he said he played pretty well, but they had 3 Qbs on his team. He had a td on his 1st play  from about 50 yrds out.

We had 3 qbs so we went 2 series at a time.  I went 5-9 134 yds 1 td 1 int.  The first play I was in went for a 60 yard TD.  The most any other qb had was 88 yds passing.  I had a lot of fun this season, and I am just proud to say I played at Methodist.
Next year MC will be tough with a ton of jrs and srs.  The QB will be solid with several guys fighting for that spot.  Any of them will be a good replacement, and I wouldn't be surprised if the starter has a better year than I did.  I just hope I can see a few games.

Who follows the ODAC board anyway?

Looks like the quakers are getting better offensively though...Did they renounce the pink hair attitude?
Mosh - Exactly what do you mean by this question?  ???  Signed, a Guilford alumnus, soccer letter winner and football fan

I thought so.  I was just messing with you, too.  lol  When were you at Greensboro?  My neighbor across the cul-de-sac played lacrosse there in early 90's.   Signed, a Quaker fan who's seen his share of pink-haired women (and men, now that you mention it) on the Guilford campus.  If a few of them can play football defense next year, I don't care if their hair is fuchsia.  lol

Rocket, how did Corey Haase (Guilford) do?

rocket - sounds like a pretty productive day, especially for throwing just 9 balls - thanks for the info!

Hasonaova I was Class of 2003.

Advice, Since you hail from Guilford you have to be careful when you say things like you have seen your fair share of pink haired woman and men.  But Im messing with you.  Im friends with a few former Quaker players.  One night one of them got so blasted he decided to urinate on the floor of a bar.  Good guys those quakers, although they dont always do the right thing.

And so it goes.
Big Game tonight for my Jv Girls BBall team.

Well, alcohol has caused all sorts of "indiscretions" for longer than I've been around.  I could tell you some stories .... lol  I graduated from Guilford before you were born, so I've seen some good - and, sadly, a lot of bad - Quaker football.  The team and the fans are excited that we had an offense this year and hope that'll continue next season.  As evidenced by some of the scores this year - including the 36-35 Greensboro game - the "D" needs some work.  lol

With regard to the "pink" hair, Guilford has a reputation for having "more than a few" students that "march to a different drummer."  It was true 35 years ago and it's still true now.  Most folks affiliated with Guilford, including me, have a live and let live attitude about it.  If you don't, you'd never be able to make it there.

Except for the Soup Bowl, of course, I hope Greensboro football snaps back in '06.  :)

abnrgr & mosh -

I was brought up as a Baptist, went to the Presbyterian Church for Vacation Bible School because they had the best cookies, attended Methodist Youth Fellowship because their girls were cuter, graduated from a Quaker College, did a eulogy at an African Methodist Episcopal funeral, dated a Unitarian, danced at bar (and bat) mitzvahs, bought my neighbor's kid a gift for her first Catholic communion, visited a Shinto temple in Japan, gave the Salvation Army a donation, attended a football game at Tennessee and basketball games at Duke (trust me, they are religious experiences) and have a brother who is a Lutheran minister.  I'm trying to cover all my ecumenical bases, but so far it hasn't helped.  lol  So, I'll take a prayer from anywhere I can get it!  :)

PS God help me for writing this post!  lol

hey whats up everybody, I know everybody at the Ole MC is worried about the quarterback position next year but I will and can say this dont worry about it. Any quarterback can and will succeed next year because of the dynamic playmakers we have on offense and deffense. so next year I think we just maybe setup to take another shot at the title, and maybe a playoff spot as well if we get our work done in the offseason.

moshergc9

that is very comforting, thank you very much!
