ABN, I thought I saw a neked guy down around the 10 yrd line....Must have been cold in Denver Saturday night  ;D.  I'm just glad I don't have to hear about Tom Brady anymore this year!

how about the colts choking....seems like every team i wanted to go on this past weekend failed.  Its been a tough year in that department....

I was coaching my girls basketball game friday and we had a five point lead with two minutes left.  The other team was not well coached well at all and my girls just stunk it up.   We ended up losing by five.  Coaching girls is the worst exp ever!

I've been to Rocky Mount, NC and Nash County, but not NNHS.  Thanks - I was just curious.  Good luck the rest of the season!

By the way, I'm already looking forward to next season's Guilford/Greensboro game at Guilford.  I expect a lot of offensive fireworks again.  Go Quakers!

And im looking forward to the soup bowl being back in the real gc' fb teams hands...

Well, no "offense" to past Quaker players or coaches, but Kiesel and Vogelbach have shaken things up.  It looks like the QB and all the Receivers will be back next year, so the psssing offense looks good on paper.   I'm sure Kiesel is spending the offseason trying to establish a running attack to balance the passing and shoring up some spots in the Defense.  I hope your GC Pride has some better success next year - it's good for both programs to have winning records.   I look forward to seeing both teams with no losses when they meet some day.  Personally, I'd like to see them fill the Grimsley stadium (10,000) for a game.  Since it's for charity and city bragging rights, I really wish the Greensboro (city) fans would turn out more than they do.

Filling the venue would be tough since both schools total enrollement combined is about 2-3000 students.  Not saying it couldnt happen, it just wont happen until both teams do something nationally (even then it would be a longshot)....Not saying it couldnt happen though.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  I was quite happy they had 3700+ in October last fall.  The price is right (cans of food) and it's for a good cause, so I really wish they could get some more locals to turn out in addition to the folks with connections to the colleges.  Last year was probably the most I have seen.

The headline that the Mariners or Kings Point, which is one of the five federal academies caught my eye.  They hire a dude named Foley as the defensive cordinator.  He really has to be one of the youngest cordinators at the college level regardless of division.  I just thought it was interesting that a college took a chance on someone so young.

Im trying to get some cordinator spots at the high school level and Im having trouble because of my age.

Mosh, I don't believe Kings Point is one of the federal academies (USMA, USAF, USNA, and USCGA are the only ones I know of)  I could be wrong but I believe Kings Point is just like Mass maritime or any other maritime academy.  Maybe Pat knows for sure.

Olinemom,
I didnt really check his age but if he was playing in 2004 and spent one year as a coach then he is probally like 24 or 25.

Admiral,
My stepbrother went to Kings Point.  I saw Tom Ridge give the keynote at the graduation.  Im 100% sure that it is federally funded and one of five.  Not a very fun place to be in college though!
