Mosh, have you tried any of the schools around Wilmington?  I know a couple of MC grads have gotten jobs coaching around here.  There are quite a few schools in the area and with it being on the beach and near UNCW the scenery is outstanding  ;)

Looks like Douglas Byrd is looking for an assistant out in fayetnom.
Any body ever heard of them?
Are they any good?

I have been trying to get people to hire me as a Defensive cordinator...No luck yet...Somebody will give in.

mosh - douglas byrd has traditionally been one of the best teams in the area when bob paroli coached there - paroli left before last year, i think, and they've got a couple of former monarchs on the staff - duane pelham is the hc (former monarch assistant coach) and stacy cook (former monarch o-lineman and assistant and one of abnrgr's all-time favorite guys) is a coordinator there (unless something has changed that i wasn't aware of) - i'm sure they'd look out for a fellow usasac/diac guy like yourself

Narch is right. Byrd used to dress out about 28-32 players on a regular basis and just drill people. They were some "hat bringing" fools.  Paroli is a legend in NC state football. If those Monarch coaches are there they will keep it going.

I believe Paroli platooned them even with the low numbers too. Nobody wanted to see them in the playoffs. Absolute hitters.

Narch you never answer my mail.  ;)

I finally had a bust. Does not look good for a specialist I recommended. Damn I never miss......

I hope Coach Eavenson finds a QB. Preferably a RS FR instead of a FR. Like Vogelbach over at GC.  Like to see him in Fayettenam slinging

So did they scrape up a FR or is there a diamond in the rough that was just awaiting Rocket's commissioning ceromony? ;)

It looks like a Methodist convention in here.

Somebody had to break it up.

Papi, I have a connect in the Wilmington area, I just havent dialed the number up yet..  I have been trying to get a Def Cord position but I might stay at northern nash (they offered me the head jv job/ varsity db coach)...It might not be bad for one more year...

anyways, hope everyone is doing well

Mosh
Those Knights still 4A or have they dropped due to a new school in the area? I like the atmoshere in that stadium at night. A little spooky

Abngr,
We are 3A for the first time this past season.  I think it will stay that way unless our population goes way up.  Death Valley hasnt been a bad place to start.  The administration has been awesome to work for (probally couldnt have stepped into a more laid back atmosphere, nobody breathing down my neck) The only thing is that I have become a city slicker since I lived in Gboro and right now im living in the woods man.

I really dont know much about the players at Gboro anymore.  It looks like they have a decent amount of athletes (from what I have seen stopping by and visiting friends).  I would be surprised if they repeated the dismal season we had this past year.

And Im out,

Pat Coleman

Since there's no USA South men's lacrosse, technically, I'll post here. Photo gallery of the Greensboro/Virginia Wesleyan game from Saturday:

Interested in more info about the Pride . . my son just transferred there to play ball.

The OC sounds like someone with experience - what are others thoughts on Wright?

Also, how does the Pride defense look for this year?

Thanks!

GO PRIDE!

ABNRGR we're having a Nor'easter right now.  Blowin' a gail...solid white chock on the water...making life miserbale.  OPTEMPO is well...wide open.  We don't do much SAR, most of our work is HLS but we have to pluck the occasional moron from the depths of the deep.  Just kinda fell into a case accidently about a week ago.  It took my 25' and a 47' MLB and two Helo's to get everyone off the boat before she went down.
Are you still out in CO?  My old roommate just moved back out to Grand Junction.

Narch, how are Coach Sy and the boys doing?

D3 Newbie,

Did I give you directions one day to Price Field???

D3Newbie

Mosh - probably . . .I only had to ask three different people, but the dude on the treadmill was the one that got me there . . . was that you?

If it was, it got me there, but the guys had decided not to throw that afternoon.  But thanks for the directions . . . knowing to turn at the porno shop really helped!!

I am hoping to get up there to watch some spring practice either this week or next. Have you heard anything about how they look so far? Also, what's the readout on the OC - can he help turn around the Pride Offense?

Too bad they can't be in pads - my son likes to hit.

Here's a old HS link: http://northcarolina.ihigh.com/0,1673,1_3_1_72152,00.html

Can't wait to get to watch him play this fall in person - didn't get to make any of the games he started in Missouri - just the videos.

BTW, when he was in HS he transferred his junior year to a school whose record was 3-28 and had not had a winning season in 16 years. They went 13-1, winning their conference, but losing in the finals, and he was team MVP.

Maybe history can repeat itself with the Pride - a conference championship would be nice in 2006!
