Com'on, Narch . . .give us a break!  We've already doubled our victories from last year and a wins a wins a win - right? Victory margin doesn't make any difference in conference standings.

After going 6-30 the past three years, we are 2-1 and in first place in the conference. Let us hype a little . . . who knows when we'll get another chance!

I was answering PrideGuy's question tongue in cheek when I said Greensboro. Sure the top three and MC will probably kill The Pride, but right now there is hope and hope is always good!!

And maybe, just maybe, The Pride will get their first winning season . . . . at least we can always hope - right??

BTW, no true hype right now after those close wins, but if we somehow kill Guilford by 40 then you might catch me hyping a little - or maybe hyperventilating . . . 

if gc fans are allowed to hype the pride after a 2-1 start against the teams they've played, then i think you guys can cut monarch fans a little slack for supporting a team that would be upset with a 5 or 6 win season...nothing short of being mentioned as part of the "big 3" is acceptable as a monarch fan, and we sure won't be crowing about a winning season anymore...we've been there, done that - unfortunately, the monarchs aren't in that "big 3" discussion at this point in the season (and really weren't much a part of the discussion last year, despite sharing a conference crown)

and, if you beat guilford by 40, I'LL hype the lady lions, how 'bout that?

I never for once ever thought Steelers or the Falcons were a legitimate playoff team.  The media does a good job on putting some hype on those teams.  Hence when I use the hype I am using that coaches poll.

All I said was GC will finish higher then Methodist.  That has been the basis of my hype.  (Alright plus the Guilford game.)  i said greensboro possibly will beat AU, lost to them by one last year.  (Greensboro was horrible last year).  We have the one conference win that historically keeps greensboro out of finishing last.  (Poll said we will be in last place.) Its a better team.

3-0 Greensboro Men's soccer with 36 mins left in the 1st half over Bridgewater.  Hype that up. (Bridgewater have a good soccer team)

5-0 23 mins left in first half.  (Maybe I am hyping the wrong Greensboro team)

Great call about the "Big 3"'s schedules. You have to like CNU at home against the other two. I'll take AU over Ferrum this weekend for the same reasons. Home game, homecoming, etc. I certainly hope that AU beats CNU on the road - but 3000 hostiles isn't exactly the every week DIII road game. Not sure it matters though, worse case - a playoff bid at 7-3 b/c of the schedule. Who agrees / disagress?

Well, I once saw Scottie Too Hottie at -65 on the ODAC board, but somehow he has miraculously fought back to single digits in the black!   He gets my vote for Viagra "Comeback Poster of the Year!"

Yeah I know.  Women's soccer just got thier first win last week.  They blame it on Karma because they made fun of the football team more then anybody.  They thought karma finally caught up with them.   The tables have been turned, so far this year.

flat out if CNU wins every conference game except one (depending on the one), and finishes 2nd.  They will get a bid IMO.  Hope for that.  That way we have two teams playing come post season.  (I believe WCLegacy posted something about this earlier)
