In 2001, (then) Western Maryland was a top 25 team for the opener in Bridgewater. BC won that game.

The Defenses of both teams have totally dominated this game with CNU having 19 yards total offense and GC having 34 yards. No completions for The Pride, but two INTs. Two completions for CNU and one INT.

CNU scored on a blocked punt out of GC's endzone. CNU winning battle of field position with GC punter averaging only 25 yards a kick and CNU punter averaging 39 yards a kick. Teams look to be pretty evenly matched at this point.
