When entering Danville from Greensboro follow Rout 29 Business following signs into town. Once in town stay to the left on Memorial Drive. At bottom of hill take a left onto Piedmont Drive. There will be a dam and you will cross the river. After crossing the bridge take a left at the third light onto Mount Cross Road (There will be a Good Year Tire Store, bank and an Outback Steakhouse). The entrance to the North Campus will be less than a ½ mile on the left.

I drove to Averett from Greensboro for a game last month.  That all sounds right.   It was pretty easy to find.

nice game captains...great performance on both sides of the ball holding mc to 159 total yards and gaining 360 in a 21-0 win...i predicted the captains score correctly...just missed the monarch part

mike hill was held to 53 yards on 17 carries, but i had heard a rumor late yesterday that he wouldn't play at all due to a lingering injury...nice to hear that he toughed it out

meanwhile, i like the monarchs chances of winning 3 straight to finish the season, but next weekend will be a tough game - i think m'ville is much improved vs. last year and vs. earlier this year

and it looks like the b'water crew won't have to worry if their schedule was tough enough to get a pool c bid, with a loss to ehc today...wow

my thoughts on the game today...before I read the box score....

CNU dominated every aspect of the game.....except they kept turning the ball over in the red zone. If they do that aginst a top 20 team, they get beat on the scoreboard.....they do that against MC with Rocket at QB...it's a tough game to call.

The refs are freaking aweful....just terrible.....they didn't know what they were doing.....here's an example of something minor as to how bad they were....CNU punts...the ball is ROLLING on the ground, then rolls out of bounds....key here - it rolled out, not out in the air where you have to triangulate the out of bounds point......it rolled out at the 30 yd line...the side judge puts the ball on the 30 yard line....the Ref goes to midfield and spots the ball on the 31...then the side judge MOVES HIS spot from the 30 to the 31!!!!

I know it was only one yard.....but the point is they didn't know what they were doing.

Faison should not run the option.....he looked awkward....and had some bad pitches........tear out that page of the playbook!

George Jones looked lost on punt returns....ALWAYS misjudged the ball.....also, when the ball is coming right down on you at the 20 and you give a fair catch...DO NOT step forward and let the ball roll inside the 10.....

Faison is in rhythm with his pasing....he was awesome in the pocket.

Hilliard is a 5'7" beast......put him on ESPN Sunday night cuz some of the MC defenders got JACKED UP!!

CNU defense is great!!! I lost count how many times MC had the ball in the red zone due to turnovers and came away with zip. The linebackers, in my opinion, have not fallen off compared to last year's studs....I was worried about that position this year....NOT NO MORE!!!

What's up with the MC coach not kicking FGs? He had 9 points easy by early in the 4th qt.....gotta give the players a chance to win.

MC #31 is a punk!! He got beat on EVERY play yet came up trash talking, down 14 points, yapping.....getting beat.....penalties called on him......he got JACKED  UP a few times too...he deserved it...punk! He gets the ESPN radio Mike & Mike's "Just Shut Up Award".


MC QB -- look out!!!! He could be as good as Rocket as he matures.
