Hey, WLU78 - Easy to joke about, but don't judge me unless you walked a few miles in my shoes.  :)

I am shocked!  By your tale of woe I had to assume you had no shoes!

It wasn't a tale of woe, but thanks for the hand-me-down shoes.  After they were deloused and the tassels removed, they were great!  :)

So any way, now that we have had a literature course on the post page, we all are a little more educated when it comes to writing. Though i admit sometimes i am the same way when it comes to typing and posting on here. I just type what i want to say and never re-read sometimes. It sounds so much better in my head while im saying it, than it does to read it, so NOVA, i understand your pain brother.
Narch, how does MU look coming in, have you heard of any big name players from the high school coming in. I have word that the Mike Hill is just a rumor, he is fine and he will be back for his season. That is a PLUS. Cant wait to get the season started to come watch a few more games with me living in charlotte, i am closer and now i can bring some recruits down there.

Great if you're a football team. Bad if you're trying to express yourself by writing.

i think the coaching staff is pretty happy with the class to this point - there are a couple of impact players who could see time early, but mostly this class is going to add quality depth - i don't think there is a sure fire guy in the class, but there are a few who will push returners for time and make the monarchs better - i think coach funderburk is as excited about his guys as any of the coaches...there should be some real depth on the ol for the next few years - of course, there is the kicker i talked about earlier who will probably have the inside track for both punting and kicking duties if he performs on this level as he did in high school...you know this, but it's all speculation until you see these guys put on pads and perform on the field - how many guys did you play with who were all-everything in high school that just didn't pan out?  i can think of a few :)

,Man (starting a sentence in a coma, with a comma!!), I miss less than 24 hours and now I'm in stitches......my boss is gonna come in here and fire my buttocks, but I can't stop laughing......

Ok - do I get points for:

being the first in my family to go to college, too?

getting an MBA from William and Mary?

living in a trailer park growing up?

buying my tennis shoes as a kid at JM Fields.....2 pair for $5!!!

as an adult, never having rented - moved out of the trailer park with my degree and bought a townhouse - first place I ever lived that was owned by the occupants?

knowing that "There's No Such Thing As A Free Lunch" - that's for you Hasa!!

Oh man - I'm still rolling - I need to scroll back a page that WLU guy said some funny things too....he must've posted his thoughts while going back home in the jet his daddy owns!!!  ;D

Now I'm humming Dueling Banjos!! Why do they call it that when there was just one banjo?

mosh - Ernest Hemingway and Edgar Allan Poe were an alcoholic and a drug addict, respectively, so what's your point?  :)

That reminds me of something I read a few years ago.  There was some article that described three people.  The first two were described as womanizers and alcoholics. The third person was described as the complete opposite. The article then asked, who would you like to have as your president? I believe the two "bad" people were JFK and FDR respectively.  The last person decribed was Hitler. (I know quite a bit of german history, because I took German from 7-12 grade and placed out of it in college. They say Hitler was a hypochondriac.) I wish I could find that article.

Also fine for guys who already earn a living playing football - not so good if your playing days will probably end at 21 years old.  You think a football season is long?  Try the next forty years without a good education.  :)  I love and respect football and scholarship.  Why not be good at both?  Peace
