Expanded playoffs would include the HSC's of the world in the playoffs (ala 1999-2003) that won a load of games but lost that one game to the BC's of the world.

Most high schools in NC play that one extra game so 11 games is possible as mentioned.

I think 11 games is reasonable, but I wonder what that does to the bowl games. (I already think there are too many bowls, but I think that one extra games makes some teams bowl eligible to cover all the bowls)

Here's what I'd ask myself if I was a d1A decision maker......

1. Why does there seem to be an annual debate about bowl games and playoffs?
2. Why is D1A the only level (pro or collegiate) that has a bowl games structure?
3. If the Bowl game concept is such a great and wonderful idea, why doesn't the NFL have a similar structure in place?

Answer - the bowl games structure evolved over time. It's not working today for the vast majority of the fans (unless you are a Notre Dame fan and think the Irish should be in a bowl game even when they finish 3-7 - remember Gerry Faust?). Change of this magnitude is difficult, but not impossible. Courage and vision are required.

Sorry, CNU85, I don't have a quill.  Besides, I'd rather have a printer cartridge than a bottle of ink.  By the way, I do have an old school desk in my house that I purchased in an antique shop that has an inkwell.    I don't necessarily have seizures when I hear Don King speak, but I do look away when I see his hair!  lol
