TOOSHAY! I was wondering how that was handled, thanks for clearing it up SU, i couldnt remember what happened with that situation.

I dont know about you guys, but when  church cooks for people, especially to thank them or to congratulate them for their accomplishments, it is usually good. There is nothing wrong with this. Methodist used to get fed by a church, of whom was our team chaplin, we went there to eat on fall break for a meal, usually before the ferrum game. There was nothing wrong with that, it is not special treatment, i mean hell if thats the case, then everyone is illegal. You shouldnt be able to go otu to eat with anyone then that wants to buy your supper, thats what this all boils down to. Nobody did anything wrong. NCAA has alot more things to worry about than a church feedin players. Recruiting and eligibility is the biggest thing they have to worry about.

I was hoping I would find that MU dominates FC.  I figured a church dinner with the man upstairs would get the team on the good side.  However I didn't find that, I guess some of the players just ate too much before that game.

Its friday at work and am doing nothing, but I came up with a little poem I call "The USASouth."  My goal was to make fun of every school including Greenboro.


"The USASouth"

First off there is CNU
They think they are better than you
Conference championships is what they yield
But National Championships are in track and field.

Methodist follows after that
Thier mascot is some big cat
Golf is what they know how to do
Which is as exciting as watching beer brew.

Next School is Averett
I despise that school I must admit
They play good basketball and football
But after that I'd say nothing at all

Ferrum is next on the ticket
That school is out there in the thicket
They have a good women's basketball team
But all those other sports will just have to dream.

There are two n's in Shenandoah
Which is quite far from Western Somoa
They don't have one good sport
At least they beat Averett on thier own home court

NC Wesleyan is next one of the clan
Its a real good school to go to if you're a fan
That baseball team can really play
But Averett and Methodist left them astray

Greensboro is the school that comes last
Scholar Athletes are the top of the class
I need to make fun of them with reason
Oh yeah football team has never had a winning season.


(Sorry Greensboro I had to come up with something it is just part of the ryhme. )

Watching beer brew can be very exciting if you get to drink it when it's ready.

If you would have seen me on the course on Tuesday you would know there's at least one Monarch that can't play golf.   It's a good thing I'm good at Search and Rescue because a few of my balls needed a rescue swimmer.

I wanted to do the regular USASouth teams.  I can't compare them to the rest of the conference, when they only particpate in football.

Hey Admiral,

You sound like someone I might (and that is a huge stretch of the word "MIGHT"), be able to hang with on the golf course. If anyone wants to win lots of beer, they just take me. I am good for finding every "Cat Box" and Tree on a course.

"Cow Pasture Pool" I lose more money at golf than I do betting on Redskins. What does that tell ya? Don't answer that; I have already been called everyone from "A" to "Z" when it comes to golf.

We have a tournament ever year to raise money for our morale fund that we call the Search and Rescue classic.  Between the beer and the horrible golf swings a lot of golf balls go Missing in Action.
