hmmmm.....just got an invitation to head to Belton TX for the CNU/UMHB game......time to buy flowers for my wife!
Here is another idea...
Get with your best CNU friend and his wife.  Plan a trip to Texas.  The ladies can do some power shopping in Austin, and you and your friend can drive the 70 miles up to see the game.

The ladies will have had the chance to shop at Neiman-Marcus and other fine stores, and you guys get in a great ballgame.

Neiman-Marcus Austin
3400 Palm Way
Austin, TX 78758
512-719-1200

There is also a Neiman-Marcus outlet, Neiman-Marcus Last Call, in Austin.

;)

You can commit the "flower money" to airline tickets...

Check out the Southwest Airlines web site for great deals tonight.  They have great supersaver/internet rates.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

And now I know why they call you a hall of famer.  If I could add a +1 karma I would.

Ok well I found something interesting that can predict the following years win %.  So I took it against should have been in 2006.  Here is what it looks like: (regular season schedule no playoffs.)

0.705   FC
0.684   MU
0.640   CNU
0.626   AU
0.390   MC
0.370   SU
0.220   GC

NCWC does not appear because I need at least 3 years to compare. It only works if the coach has been there for at least 3 years as well.

The coaches poll last year had:

FC
CNU
AU
MU
NCWC
MC
SU
GC

Last year standings.

CNU   0.800
AU   0.700
MC   0.500
MU   0.400
GC   0.300
FC   0.222
SU   0.200

Now here is where I think the COY should come in, I have always been a big supporter of the coach who improves the team or does better than "expected."  So I take the expected and actual and find the difference and whichever shows the most improvement gets the COY.

CNU   0.160
MC   0.110
GC   0.080
AU   0.074
SU   -0.170
MU   -0.284
FC   -0.483

COY goes to CNU and well he did get it.

My next post well predict what the standings will be this year.

PrideSportBBallGuy

Ok here is the 2007 Expected Standings

0.700   CNU
0.650   AU
0.530   MU
0.530   NCWC
0.510   MC
0.431   FC
0.290   GC
0.290   SU

A closet travel agent.

Thanks Ralph.....I may look into something. I doubt I can get my wife to agree for me to pony up the money to ride on the team charter.

Hey - do another one and have fun with it....set something up where we have to pick all the games now!!!
We can each use a different PSBBG formula and see how we end up.  ;D

I want to get one thing straight.  This last formula isn't mine. I found it on the internet  ;D

However, I did the search because you got me thinking about another power ranking formula.  It will use those three things I mentioned yesterday.

Everyone-
if there is any problems with this one, we can blame myself and CNU85. CNU85 for getting my mind rolling and PSBBG because it probably will be flawed in some way.  ;D

someone should give him  a -1 for referring to himself in the third person, though...

7 days is the tentative day of USASouth Preseason Poll( I am use past history to determine that.)

http://www.d3football.com/pressreleases.php?release=1669

The conference is starting its press releases off with a bang:

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The annual USA South Football Media Day will be hosted by Methodist University and take place on Thursday, July 31 at 10:30 a.m. Each of the Conference's eight football coaches will address the media and give their thoughts on the upcoming football season.

My dilligent research shows July 31 to be a Tuesday....   :-\

Why so late?  Even July 31st is 6 days later then the latest it has ever been.

Here is a stupid trivia question the last time the preseason poll was released within the last seven days of the month, SU was at the top of the conference at the end of the year.( SU and CNU both were at the top.)  I am putting my money on SU this year to win the conference  ;D
