Hey D3 fans. I have a Yahoo league set up for D3 fans only. Everyone is welcome. I have 6 spots left open. All I ask is that you name your team after your fav. D3 school. It looks as if I am not going to make the trip to Winchester this year. Somebody I know very well is getting inducted into the Bridgewater Hall of Fame that same weekend, so I am heading to that ceremony.  It looks as if I will see Guilford play 3 times this year.  That game, GC vs GC, and Guilford vs Hampden-Sydney (I won't be making the Maryville trip that same weekend.)

I promise Greensboro, I am NOT a Guilford fan.

I'll probably be at all three of those games, so be sure to say hello.  I am a Guilford fan, but I don't mind if Greensboro wins a few times this year.  I do, however, definitely want Guilford to top Greensboro in the 11th annual "Souper" Bowl!   By the say, in the links posted above on preseason USASAC reports, Greensboro was misspelled in the article's headline.  Tsk, tsk.

Someone posed a question a few months back on what the average number of new recruits were for each school, that goes to training camp. Just took my son back to Averett yesterday and the comment was made that there would be close to 200 on the field today including upperclassmen that are returning. Largest recruiting class at Averett so far.

Now the 64,000 dollar question is, how many will be on the field Sunday after all the run test are completed?

the ODAC should win the series......bunch of bottom feeders....half the gaes are against the bottom 3 teams in the USA South (per preseason coaches poll).....BC is at it again...Ferrum and SU?? I think Southern Va was getting too tough for them!!   A little humor for the lurking llamaguy!!!

You know us 85, not gonna put CNU back on the schedule! Will be adding Averett to the schedule next year. Too bad we couldn't have made it Greensboro instead. LOL!

Hey, you gonna have that tailgate up and running at POMOCO this year? You guys have way too nice of a piece of real estate not to take advantage of it on home Saturdays!

I'm ready to go....but you wouldn't believe how tough it is to find old people like me to come out on a Saturday morning for communion!! 

Are you guys headed to all BC games this year - home and away? I was thinking about sneaking one in on a CNU away game if the BC game is closer.

I tell you I think is going to be hard for Guilford looking at the Schedule for Greensboro that is the home opener for the Pride and you know that they are going to be fired up should i mention that even though we finished 0 and whatever after the first two home games last year we were 2-1 in the first three games at home last year and if you think about it we should of lost that one game because it was a D2 team. So I figure it as going 2-0 against actuall opponets

One time mind you I saw it when Greensboro had almost packed their side (almost) for a night game in either 02-03.  frankly I was a little surprized at the crowd noise.

The best away game on the slate will be at Hampden-Sydney Sept. 29th. Stone Station is planning on doing the full spread in their parkinglot, complete with a 3 car Sherriff's escort.

i'm checking my calendar.....oh...and the wife.....might bring her along for some games....she doesn't particularly like sports...but she likes getting away for weekends and enjoys people.

     If you BC folk wouldn't come down to H-S and stir up trouble, you wouldn't have to worry about Officer Fife!!     Just tell them you know me and you won't have a bit of trouble.  On second thought, if you do that, they may call out the SWAT team and take all of you to the pokey.

Parsons, your Averett pick might be a good one. W&L has a good squad
but they are not deep. That's a long ride to Dover DE. for NCWC & Wesley
should be tough again this year. Let's hope your right.

speaking of long rides.......for those of you in the D3 "know".....CNU is traveling to Belton TX. Does anyone know of another D3 team traveling a longer distance in this upcoming season? Just using city names and not the actual addresses of each school, mapquest says it is 1493 miles from Newport News to Belton.
