I think...(hope) NCWC has turned the corner.....NCWC 37...Maryville 17

The boys seem to play better away from home....but I can't make the game, so I expect them to roll .....Go NCWC....

I think it is going to be a close game.  Of course I am going to pick Maryville, but whoever wins I believe it will come down to a field goal or a last minute touchdown.

Maryville 24 - NCWC 21 Touchdown in the last minute to win the game for the Scots!

Hey, Proudfightingscot , that's what makes it interesting.... 2 teams, 2 fans..... Good luck... to all coming, have a safe trip. :)

Ok, let me catch up:

I like Fazzoli's when I go to CNU/Newport News, VA.

I spent alot life growing up in the north, so I always love stopping at a WAWA.  The best gas station in the entire world.

GC (Greensboro) will not lose by 4 TD's, both teams are quite motivated for this game.  This game will ultimately decide how much trouble there will be at the GC-GC basketball game.  I think playing at Hanes Gym has good intentions, however it will not hold capacity of what the coliseum held for last year's game.  It will be hot, there will be drunk people, tempers will flare, and there could be trouble. I hope there will be a police officer at the game. I hope there will be GC and GC Security at the game.

I think GC's playing field is much higher and CNU's field is much lower.  I have seen them both when it was pouring outside.  GC's field holds water so much better  :)

Pride,

I think most of the Fazzoli's have closed up in this area. At least on my side of the James River. Hope you can find one, maybe 85 can direct you since that is his stompin ground. WAWA are starting to take off around here as well as Sheetz. Most of the time Sheetz gas is the cheaper which attracts folks this day and time.

I thought about opening up one, but it is really expensive, in order to open up one, the owner has to have .5 million in assets.  WAWA has these best subs, and the WAWA brand items often times are better than the name brand stuff.
Tasty Kakes, I don't think I have seen any of those in NC either.

I stopped at a Noodles & Company when I was in MD this summer, exceptional food. Again NC is missing out on the world.

The boys in NC are still eating Moon Pie's and drinking RC Cola's and Sun Drops.

kickerdad

Not that there is anything wrong with Moon Pie's; I love them but they don't agree with my waist line anymore. Not a big fan of RC Cola but I use to love to go to NC and buy Sun Drop.

Just a "Good Old Country Boy" I do mean old too.

"If you were giving the scholarship to an intellectually brilliant kid who happens to play a sport, that's fine," Dowling said. "But they give it to a functional illiterate who can't read a cereal box, and then make him spend 50 hours a week on physical skills. That's not opportunity. If you want to give financial help to minorities, go find the ones who are at the library after school."

Rutger's English professor on the state of athletics at Rutgers.

I think they might be talking about us ABN  ;)

Kickerdad...you hit the nail on the head...I was raised on RC cola and Moon Pies (fat pills)...that might have something to do with the reason my 40 time was measured using a sun dial.   ;D

I'm still laughing about this!! We go from trying to find decent seafood to a bad fastfood italian place as a good place to eat!!! This is killing me!!

Thanks - I needed some levity this afternoon!!  :)

AdmiralPapi

85...There used to be a place off of Jefferson Ave...I think it was called RJ's sports pub...had some of the best wings I've ever eaten.  When I was stationed in Yorktown I used to eat there once a week...is it still around?

Papi,

What time frame were you in the service? Retired? Assuming Navy, only because you are an Admiral and was stationed at Yorktown.

abnrgr

Ah Papi. My brother from another mother. He is a boat commander USCG. Are you aChief yet Papi.

I don't drive by there much.....I think there is still a sports pub there, not sure if it's still called RJ's.
