Methodist tries a fake FG near the very end of the half and is stopped. A penalty gives MU a second chance, though over the radio, it sounds confusing. It seemed like the penalty was against MU, so they do get to rekick but farther back. Not sure why Ferrum didn't accept the penalty. Maybe it wasn't fourth down or something.

Anyway, the retry falls short, and time expires for the half.

big 4th down for the monarchs, down 21-7 at the fc 9...1st and goal mu from the 5...parks fumbles, but mu retains the ball...under 4  minutes inside the 5...mcguire loses a yard...3rd and goal, mu timeout with 3:07 left...hill stopped short, but fc gets a late hit call giving the monarchs a 1st down and goal - 2nd and goal after mcguire is stopped short...mu timeout 2:52...seems like you would have a couple of plays called in the previous huddle and save that timeout...i like a little bootleg here...parks stopped short on a keeper...3rd and goal...mcguire FINALLY scores...2:17 left - i think they've got to go w/ an onside kick - mirales misses the xp...need a td and 2 pt conversion to force ot - fc gets the onside kick and will probably run the clock out - sounds like mu was game today, but shot themselves in the foot with penalties and poor specials...monarch defense holds, but fc pins them at the 4 with :55 left...long field for the tying td - parks completes a 24 yard pass, but hopkins gets stripped after the catch - fc wins...the fc announcer says "the panthers executed that play perfectly letting him catch the ball and then stripping it"...funny

Another sloppy home win for the Captains. Way to many turnovers on offense, a few missed tackles, and not enough pressure on the qb at times. All in all another Captain win so thats the most important thing. Keep taking things 1 game at a time and the guys should be fine.
