roncketti scores...au has a very good return game and mc has struggled in kick coverage - larkin put 4 balls in the endzone vs. ehc and he needs one of those in the worst way right now!

cnufan

And didnt get it. AU takes over at the 30 with 14 secs left. 2nd down

narch

roncketti shows the leadership of a senior on that last drive - that was ALL him with his arm, head and legs - HUGE, HUGE drive...could be the drive that saved a season...certainly kept the monarchs in championship contention - down 22-9 going into the 4th quarter and win 29-28...nice - averett's coaching staff can lay that blame SQUARELY on their shoulders - 1st and goal at the mc 4 with under 4:45 left and they throw 4 consecutive passes - i don't even question going for it on 4th down because of field conditions - 3 running plays though, would have meant at least 1:30 being run off the clock and the monarchs don't have time to make the comeback - i'll take it - a 4th quarter comeback win on the road in a tough place to play (au was undefeated at home last year) - now the attention can turn to ferrum...wow - great job au...2 straight years the cougars have given mc EVERYTHING they could handle

Congrats to the Monarchs, they didnt give up, great job, came to play late, but better late than ever!

rocket was 1-7 for 16 yards in the first half, 12-19 for 166 yards in the 2nd half - hill carried the ball 32 times for 177, 2 td's and 2 fumbles...man, that had to be an amazing game to watch in person - i'm exhausted LISTENING to it

abnrgr

Well I figured MC by 17. I guess a W is a W. Keep him healthy. Congrats you Monarchs

Mosh- Sorry dude.

looks like FC will have a tuff time with rocket...could be a good one though.

Listeneing to Maryville's coach as I type on their sports channel. Sounds like their QB was knocked out....cold!  However, they did rush for 265 yards against FC. SOunds like the dreaded Panthers are a little open to the run. The last thing he said we got MC as homecoming. I could lie and start some sh&^ but he did not say anything for the locker room board. The number of HITS they talked about sounded like FC brought some hat.

Dang Narch I'm worn out from just reading your post...Its probably a good thing I wasn't near the computer listening to this because my laptop would have probably gone airborne on more than one occasion.
Great win for the Monarchs today, sounds like Rocket just decided he wasn't going to lose today and put the Monarchs on his shoulders!
Any fool can circumnavigate the world sober...it takes a real sailor to do it drunk!!!

Honestly, the Ferrum defense is open to everything---they just don't have very much team speed...as a matter of fact, the Maryville announcer said that Ferrum was the least physically imposing team that they had seen all year.  They just don't have the horses healthy on defense yet.  Now the offense is a different story, but yet they are still one injury away from being average again.

Good game today but missed to many scoring chances in the fourth.  We had 1st and goal on three staight possesions in the fourth and didn't convert.  I give CNU defense credit though, they bent but they didn't break.  All I know is there is no way GC should be 0-5, just ask CNU.  Look out Hornets!
