My point here is that that I think that there could be a strong arguement for a 2nd qualifier from the conference.

I'm just saying there is a chance. Or at least some consideration that should be given

While one could argue that CNU should get in the playoffs. I think it would just be pretty much impossible for them to get in with 3 losses. Not enough playoff spots to go around and way too many teams with 2 losses hoping to get in as well. Its not a disrespect to CNU or its fans. Its just the NCAA has not expanded enough in D3 playoffs I have felt over the years to add a team like the Captains.

Big congrats to NCW on the conference championship. One more win and you've done what no other conference team has ever done....run the table in conference play. Nicely done.

wow...just peeked at box score for CNU game. TOP was 45 to 15 and AU had the ball for 34 seconds in the third qt!!!!!

13-7 mu, just under 10 minutes left in the 4th - mu just got a 1st down inside the gc 35, but doleman fumbled - pride offense is driving and now on the mu 29

monarchs held gc on 4th and 8 after a couple of gc penalties stalled the drive - the monarchs are driving, but just had a holding penalty of their own and then got sacked on 2nd and 13...gonna be 3rd and 18 with under 6 minutes to play...parks is sacked on 4th down, as well - clock running and under 5 minutes - mu gets a solid punt, gc will have the ball at the gc 25 with 4:34 left

gc really drove the ball last posession by running the ball then stalled out when they decided to throw the ball...starting this drive with an empty backfield...i think they're really playing to the relative strength of the mu defense right now - with 4:34 left i think i'd be running it against the monarchs...and they're now in a 3rd and 14 situation with 3:18 remaining...an incomplete pass on 3rd and 14...gc will go for it...this is the game if they don't pick up the first...incomplete - sounds like lowe had it, but dropped it...monarchs should be able to salt this away with 2 and change left...monarchs at the gc 12 with 2nd and 2...3rd and 1 with around 1:10 left...if the monarchs don't get a 1st down but can kick a fg, should be game over...parks kept the ball on 3rd down and they'll measure...gc announcer seems to think mu will go for it on 4th if they're short...he's nuts...parks got the first and mu will go into victory formation with 38 seconds left - barring a gc miracle, that makes 2 down and one to go to finish on a 3 game win streak...the hornets are on the clock!

I was told today that Wilkes will play Christopher Newport in 2008 and 2009 with the Captains coming north next year and the Colonels returning the favor in 2009.

looks like mularski performed his best torrey lowe impression today - 2 rushes for 32 yards, 1-1 passing for 35 yards and 5 catches for 34 yards - not a bad day...101 yards on 8 touches

other than that, nothing spectacular from the other monarchs - hill was back today, rushing 17 times for 68 yds and a td - mcguire had a solid day running the ball, as well gaining 57 yards on 12 carries and added a td of his own - parks had a mistake free 10-16 day for 70 yards...and didn't run the ball once per the box score

gc blocked 2 fg's, or the score would have been more lopsided

the monarch defense held gc to just 238 yards, and held lowe to 70 yards (50 rushing, 20 receiving) on 18 touches - gc did shoot themselves in the foot with 10 penalties for 77 yards
