4" of snow today and practices were cancelled. What do you think of that Admiral? It depressed me. :-[

abnrgr - 4" of snow in october has to SUCK...and send the punt returner the monarchs way

roncketti usasac offensive potw - very happy to see that some folks realize the value of willing a team to win - congrats rocket

as for mc/fc...whoever has the ball last will win - i'm putting the over/under on the total number of punts for both teams at 5...anyone want to take the over?

ABNRGR, after spending that time in Switzerland I don't care if I ever see snow for as long as I live.  Give me those hot summer days on the beach with a KOLD drink in one hand and a fishing rod in the other!

just for the record.  I've been watching for a while now and you guys sure are attacking Ferrum a lot.  Blackhats is right about much of his evaluation of this.  I don't see where he says that Ferrum should be ranked.  He just stated that Ferrum should be considered as an undefeated team higher than a team with one loss.  And by the way Chris Warren got two D's in one semester at UVA which made him ineligible to play by the school's rule.  Nott ACC or NCAA.  Because he couldn't play that year he simply decided to transfer where he could play immediately.

abnrgr

It was not my intention to attack Hats. I told I like his enthusiasm and loyalty to his program. I think ther dreaded Panters will get their due if they win the conference and get to the show. However this week if Rocketti does not get blindsided its MC +2

However, I know most Navy guys like your handle.

NCWC 21  AU 24  AU wins at home

Chowan 10  CNU  35  Just because

M-ville 21  Centre 17  just a guess because i know nothing about Centre

GC 23  SU 13  GC looked pretty good against CNU and had CNU fans worried late.  GC gets it going this week.

AdmiralPapi

I don't think any of us are 'attacking' blackhats were are just trying to get him to realize to just enjoy the success his team is having and quit worrying about who they are listed behind in the polls.

Congrats to Rocket on the POTW...after putting the Monarchs on his shoulders he certainly deserved it.  Hopefully he can put in another great performance at Ferrum.  Hopefully, though, the rest of the team will decide to show up in the first unlike at AU!

Ready, Ready, Monarchs!!!

Four inches of snow...incredulous...Thats Gods way of saying Colorardo and the Broncos need an edge to gain victory.  Wild Fires, Snow Storms in October...Your state is doomed!

Its ominious though with a Pride victory, Probally to be won with a punt block or two.  However, the win could come post mortem with the use of a Hornet ineligible wr.

abnrgr

MOSH
Yes we are doomed. But I went to Lees-McRae in Banner Elk and I love suffering in the snow.

The Broncos will gag again.

Ineligible reciever..............you are brutal...just rub it in on them Hornets. Aw...so refreshing.

I still say MC +2.

NARCH- Any injury reports?
Never shall I leave a fallen comrade

narch

abnrgr - a couple of starters on the defensive side have been nicked the last few games - ng john northern has been limited the last few games and rayford, cb who left the ehc game early, is listed on the game participation report vs. averett but did not return punts - mc really needs him back there fielding the few punts they might get - he's averaging over 14 yds per return - other than that, i don't know of any injuries other than the normal beating a football player takes 5 games into a season

i know it's a longshot to get the internet that far in the woods, but is it POSSIBLE that ferrum will have a webcast of the game???  i'm gonna pull my hair out if i can't get some updates on that game

narch

this is from the daily dose blog re: ferrum and their top 25 credentials

Quotedontworryboutwho Says:

i really dont see how yall can continue to disrespect Ferrum, a team who is averaging 43 PPG, 500yds of total offense per game, and whose total offensive yards is almost double the team second in their conference?"

interesting ferrum math...2966 (in 6 games) is AT LEAST "almost double" 2025 (in 5 games), right???

TOTAL OFFENSE     G  Rush Pass Plays Yards Avg/P TD Yds/G
----------------------------------------------------------------
1. Ferrum..............  6  2272  694   399  2966   7.4 37 494.3
2. Methodist........... 5  1186  839   331  2025   6.1 22 405.0

i hope the monarchs prove the panthers fraudulent on friday night for many reasons...maybe ferrum fans will stop blogging and posting and emailing d3football.com top 25 voters trying to garner more votes for the panthers...but most importantly, the monarchs NEED this win to stay in the usasac title race...HUGE game

((( for the Ferrum fans )))

I've ranked the remaining undefeated Division III teams by their opponent's combined winning percentage.  I did not count the undefeated team's win in their opponent's record and winning percentage.

This chart tells me that Ferrum has - of the remaining 29 undefeated teams - the 3rd worst opponent winning percentage, the 2nd worst QoWI ranking (not counting the three NESCAC schools), and the 4th worst scoring defense (with two of the three schools worse than Ferrum - Alma & ETB - giving up less points if you don't count the non-Division III losses ... which would give the Panthers the 2nd worst scoring defense).

Still think your team deserves to be ranked or given more points in the poll week after week?

Havent you ever heard of Ted Kazinsky?

Seriously, have you ever been to Ferrum?

Same situation as Ted.  Way up in the country...Stark, Raving and mad, and you are still going to assault Blackhats.

I just hope he doesnt pass out black eyes like Ted passed out letters.

Hug

Here is why the Ferrum faithful are whinning about the polls:

They are 5-0 dangit, 5-0!

BUT

They know that they are not that good. They know they will finish the year no better than 8-2. They know they are not making the playoffs.  And they know that after Friday they will no longer have a leg to stand on.
