3 days and the FC debate will be moot either way. I remember back in the 70's going up there and their fans being painted up and well as the players. It can be wild when they smell a spot in the show..

mosh - there is NO WAY that blackhats is more twisted than abnrgr, and i feel like he would have my back

...they are scary when you start looking at stats - they have 4 players in the top 10 in rushing ypg in the usasac, and all average over 6 ypc - mulford is a beast and is averaging over 10 ypc - silk is the best te in the conference - pitts is the best option qb in the region (now that dj from ssu is out for the season) - their defense gives up lots of yards, but they are +7 in turnovers for the season, so they get a lot of takeaways and don't give up a ton of points - big plays on offense and defense are the ferrum m.o. - this will either be a very close game with the monarchs winning a shoot out OR it will be a ferrum blowout because they've forced numerous mc turnovers and capitalized on them - i'm hoping for the former

I think we might be hyping Methodist a bit too much.

Ferrum needs to beat both Methodist and Christopher Newport.  Luckily they get both at home this year.

Pat, is it true you blocked out Blackhats? I dont know if you two had it out or not in a email thing but he said his reason was for the comment he made about the ODAC voters a few posts back. a couple things stand out to me :

#1 - ferrum's rush defense numbers would probably look much closer to those of mc were ferrum to have played salisbury instead of chowan

#2 - look at the number of int's for ferrum - that defense gets a TON of takeaways

Finally, What type of a following will Methodist have? Will the crowd be a help to either side? (should be Ferrum)

Finally what about the punters...Compare the averages.

I admit I am really  biased and want Ferrum to win, but I dont see a sure thing for either team.

My guess is that for Ferrum to win they have to do the following:

Cause 2 turnovers minimum

Capitalize on one of those with a touchdown, or both with at least 2 field goals

Have at least 30 yards fewer penalties, with no more than 70 yds all game.

Not miss any extra points

and hold the MC quarterback to no more than 25 yds past his per game passing average.

They also have to dominate time of possession and first downs.

Watch out for Hamoy...they will not key on him...he could be the wild card in the game.

I am not impressed because that is Narch's standard. 100%. 

IF Maryville had 268 yards on the ground on them then there numbers against the run is even better and skewed toward Ferrum. That's where I expected the sprint draw, breaking of contain, and play action to get them. I am a little worried about my MC +2 but as Allen C intimated ,turn overs will kill somebody. Keep Rockets head attached and it's MC +2 .

Well, he has been blocked, and he apparently doesn't seem to accept it, because he continually attempts to access the board, and also registered for another username from the same IP address as one of his previous posts, using that address to back up his viewpoint.

That makes three separate violations of the TOS, so I was OK with him being excluded from the board.

allen c - the monarchs have the best kicker in the conference, by far - he's 5-8 on fg's and 16-18 on xp's in addition to having 9 touchbacks on kickoffs (next best in the conference has 3) - punting is another story - luizza for mc has had some struggles, but i don't anticipate many punts - mc has 3 2 pt conversions on the season to 1 for fc - not sure what type of crowd mc will have...they take a decent crowd to gc and gcq, typically, but ferrum is a little further, and with it being a friday night game...just not sure - did i answer all of your questions?
