(deep breath)  :o

OK - Pride actually had a running game today. GC RB Beasley scored the first TD and a GC safety returned an INT for 60 yards and a TD - all in the first half.

Pride defense played fantastic with GC having bad field position all day. Two or three fumble recoveries and the INT. A lot of punts by both teams.

Pride almost gave it away at the end with an INT with a couple of minutes left, but the defense held and the Pride won.

E&H announcers said it looked like the Pride just wanted it more and that they came to play.

Is a winning streak too much to ask?  ;)

Maryville score please Ryan?

Tied at 17 with 1:40 left in the game. Maryville has the ball at Centre's 10ish yard line.

Also check the Daily Dose....I've been posting a lot more play-by-play stuff there.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Maryville nails a field goal to take the lead! 0:02 left in the game. Allsky is a happy man, today, I am sure!

edit: MARYVILLE WINS! Final.

need more scores.

Shenandoah beat Bridgewater for first time in history 10-6.

It's only been like 76 years since the last time SU beat the eagles....  what's the big deal CNU85???   ;D

 :D :D

I love it! Last week the conference looked pretty weak. Things are looking much better today.

Congrats to SU

looks like the monarchs fell 34-33 tonight...can't wait to get the scoop...

just read the box score...looks like the monarchs squandered some chances to win, failing to convert 3 xp's in a one point game...tough loss, i'm sure...vogelbach had his usual ho-hum 300 yard, 3 td game against mu, but the guilford running game shocks me...if that offense can run the ball consistently, they'll be much more dangerous than they've been the last few years - teague has a nice night with 98 rushing yards and a td and another 169 and 2 td's through the air

the bishops are on the clock on the 27th...

Sorry about your boys but it's not conference. 9-1 would be cool  huh? ;)

Howdy all. I am a new member to the board. Haven't seen many Bishop fans so I decided it was time NCWC is represented. I have been pleasantly surprised at the Quarterback situation for the Bishops. I felt they needed a lot of improvement after watching the first game, especially with the running game. I think they inproved on that facet yesterday, based upon the stats. Too many turnovers at the wrong time. They are very young, but I doubt they will be push overs this year. I have been impressed with the new coach, although I did dissagree with the fourth down call yesterday. The kid at quartback looks as if he could be a lineman, but he makes good decisions and can throw the ball. I think it will be a good learning season.
The only easy day was yesterday

Blackbird,
I was surprised to see in your post that NCW was struggling with a run game. Then I noticed that Teron Bush hasn't played. Big whoa! Did I miss something? He's still on the roster, so I assume he's still with the team.

What's the story there?

No need to respond to the above question of mine. I just got my answer: injury.
