Well you did pick GC over CNU so you are living in a dream world.  I guess you are just bound and determined to find some reason GC gets screwed out of a win every time they lose just so you can tell yourself they were actually the better team right?  Heck, we could win the conference and you still wouldn't say we are the better team.  So by your logic NCW must be really bad because we won by double digits over them right, us no being one of the better teams and all?  Actually where do you think Greensboro is ranked in the conference? 2nd? 3rd?

And back to how close our game was, maybe if Lowe decided to show up and have only 3 catches for 22 yards or if you could put up more than 16 points when you start inside our own 50 yard 7 times.  Heck, we even played our QB who was injured and basically couldn't throw.  Or maybe if you could have not let Hightower run all over you, you would have won.  So don't give me this oh we lost because of 1 penalty.

Averett's defense  played a great first half last week against Ferrum and the offense showed some bright spots as well.

With that in mind I will pick

Averett over Methodist

CNU over Greensboro

Maryville over Ferrum (this will be a great game to watch)

I like the picks guys. With so many people choosing the same teams and so few games to pick this week, I like the idea of predicting the score or at least the point spread. That way if there is a tie in the picks we can go to the score. Winner at the end of the year gets a beer.

My picks w/ point spreads...
CNU - I think they will win 38-7
Ferrum - I think this game will come down to a FG personally w/ Maryville winning.  Ferrum is excellent at running the wishbone.  I wouldn't mind missing this pick though and us covering the point spread.
Averett - They put up a tough fight the first part of the Ferrum game last week, so they get the check mark...

Interesting, in the around the region section, The writer has Ferrum and Maryville battling for the number 5 spot in the region. This saturday will surely have championship implications for both of those teams as one loss can sink your boat in this conference. Sorry I can't make it to that game, I have a prior engagement in Newport News...
