I am going to try to get to the N lot and set up. Silver Jeep with 4 Averett flags, blue tent and hopefully moms good smelling Chilli filling the air. If I can't get in the N lot (which I hope to get there around 9:30, then who knows where we will end up.

Well I am headed to Ferrum to see the Panthers whip some Bishop butt. (I will settle for a win however)

I have made it to Ferrum, and we have perfect football weather. Only concern, is that the game time has been switched to 2 p.m. These are 2 evenly matched teams, and if we have an overtime, darkness could be an issue. No lights at Ferrum.

CNU taking knees to run the clock out at the CNU 40.

Cougars played exceptional ball the 2nd half. Wish I was at the game.

CNU wins 19-13.

Wow! I was thinking during the 3rd qt that AU was showing me nothing. CNU was up 16-0....running the ball at will. Coasting. I think maybe the CNU players were thinking the same thing. But when the sun came out and started to warm things up, so did the AU team. Kudos for them - they didn't give up. CNU then responded. What a great end to a game. CNU needs to play better next week.

And the defensive secondary - even with some picks and some big plays, still gives up too many yards and too many catches and allows too many key plays to be made. I noticed one of the DB player's family members wasn't pleased with the radio announcers who were most likely telling it like it is. The CNU pass defense will not stand up in the playoffs. BUT - they better play better next weekend, or they will not be n the playoffs.

And speaking of playoffs - as far as I'm concerned....and I know the CNU coaches feel them same way - the playoffs have started for CNU....win and play again....lose and you get to go home!

Ogun was a beast again....228 yds. That's 765yds in the past 3 weeks!!!

Kickerdad....it was nice to see you before the game. Give your son a little grief for lining up on the wrong side of the field for a kickoff in the 4th qt. I'm still trying to figure out how 11 guys do that.

I was really impressed by the grittiness of Averett in the 2nd half. The kids on defense were fired up and the offense seem to move the ball well. Unfortunately CNU's defense was not budging in the 1st half. And Tunde was running to the tune of 200+ yards again. I have to wonder what the game would have been like without such sloppy field conditions.

Bring on Ferrum!!!! last time I checked they were down 7 in the 3rd.

41-14 NCW beats Ferrum. I don't like this at all. Ferrum to lose 2 games to end the season? That's what CNU will hope for. I'm glad this game is at POMOCO.

Wow, Ferrum really stumbled there. We knew NCWC was good from last weeks results but this surprises me. I wish I were there so i could see how they got it done.

With the Ferrum loss, CNU now owns at least a share of the title and hopefully by this time next week we will own it outright. Boys get ready 'cause the black hats are gonna be pi$$ed and ready to kill for that championship.

the monarchs were dominant in the ground game today, racking up 253 yards against the pride to win 20-10 - scales ran really hard today and showed a burst that i haven't seen much this season, mcguire was a bowling ball, bouncing off guys and layton flat out hammered some guys as a lead blocker and running the ball today - teague had a tough day, going 4-16 for 31 yards and 2 picks, but the monarchs didn't need him to put up big yards to win today - that was a much needed victory for mu - maybe they can make it 2 straight next weekend...sure would be nice
